STO - Command Division Color

Trekky0623

Lieutenant Junior Grade
Red Shirt
Since for ease of gaming, Cryptic decided to make Security/Tactical Red and keep Operations/Engineering yellow, that leaves the question of what to make the command color.

What color scheme do you guys use on your STO captains? I've been using white, a nod back to the TMP movies, but it is very confusing working around the Red/Yellow/Blue scheme, as well as the fact that in-game commanders often wear Red.

I use the Science teal color. Mostly because it's my favorite uniform color. Even though technically it's supposed to be red since quite a while back

How about green? The gold command tunics were originally green anyway, they just photographed gold IIRC.

Depends on the uniform. Whatever matches the era it belongs to.
Since there us nothing to indicate that Starfleet changed color schemes again, Command on current uniform is red.

I went with red as well, though now I have orange as my admiral uniform since I'm going for a Clu from Tron Legacy vibe

Depends. Usually use a mostly black uniform with silver trim, helped me stand out a bit. My main toon is a TAC, so he's got a darker red than normal, then gold trim to stand out a bit, looks nice...

I personally like to add green and perhaps some white or black (whichever matches better chromatically).

However, here's a good reference for the different time periods:

I concur with harlan33. Maybe its the game engine, maybe its the lighting they use in the game. Either way, darker colors seem to work better so I've been using dark red for tactical officers, dark blue for sciences, and dark brown for engineers.
