Why do democrats get satirised less on TV?

Why is that? Conservatives dont like satire? Dems cant laugh on themselves? There arent enough libertarian comedians?

I don't know that the premise in the OP is even accurate. On what regular tv-show do Conservatives get made fun of? I could think of Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock, but then you could hardly claim Liz Lemon, who's obviously a leftist is made fun of less. Barney on How I Met Your Mother is probably a Republican I suppose, but again the same applies, and like most sit-coms it's extremely non-political anyway. On the other hand, just going by demographics, the characters on most cop shows - CSI, L&O, Criminal Minds, NCIS, etc - are probably full of right-leaning people, and they are portrayed as good guys pretty much across the board.

Unless you're thinking about late night talk I'm struggling to understand what what OP is talking about. How many explicitely political "entertainment" tv shows are there even on the air in the USA right now?

Pretty much this. There ARE Democrats out there for which book smarts were never a priority, but they are far less vocal than their Republican counterparts. Hence the comic gold that members of the GOP generate.
