Filming Locations New Film

Yay! An all-crew meeting in engineering!!!:techman:

(I guess it could be somewhere else - the Delta Vega outpost was filmed there, too)

I'm still not too sure about the validity of filming at the AB brewery again for this movie. Some of these reports just seem to be a rehash of the 2009 locations.

Unless we have someone here from Team Abrams spreading miss-information.

Okay, that one works. To save poor Temis' sensitive eyes from the scary wallpaper :p I'll quote the text of the tweet here:

I'm not able to find the original of which this tweet is supposed to be a repost, so we can't even be sure when any such filming might have taken place, but you're right - the "Trek 2" locations list which was mentioned in an earlier report (citing the identical Twitter account!) did turn out to be nothing more than a re-copied list of locations from the 2009 movie rather than new ones, and there's something about the wording of this one which is giving me a touch of déjà vu.

I'd be inclined to take this info with a grain of salt until there's further confirmation to be had. It's good to bear in mind that, in this stage of production, rumors will be flying, and "don't take everything you see or hear as fact" is probably a sound policy to follow.

500+ people - in the engine room!

I am reminded of that scene in TMP, when Kirk has all the senior officers assembled to "...show them what we're up against."

Unfortunately, I am also reminded of ENT: The Catwalk. When everyone had to assemble in the only area of the ship shielded from "technobabble" threat of the episode.

So it could be a mission briefing or, all the ship has become inhabitable except one area.

Hooray! They're destroying The Abomination!

What the heck is up with the last post on this thread? Every day a new, similar one replaces the last. Glitch or spambot?

Spambot or manual Spammer, apparently, since the red X is supposed to be a Spam link.

You know you've hit the big time, when he/she/it selects your post to quote from :D

Spambot - now six in a row. There's some keyword in this thread which is attracting them, I'm guessing.

Have they filmed anything in the parking lot of Dodger Stadium, like they did with the mining platform battle over Vulcan and (maybe?) some of the Delta Vega scenes?

I'm not aware of any filming being reported there, so either the filmmakers have been much sneakier about it this time around or they've done their location shooting elsewhere, so far.
