Why has the Janeway tag been removed from all threads?

The tag "janeway" has been removed from all threads in this forum, even the "How is Janeway sexy" thread. Why?

I will add here that I have tagged some threads with "janeway" but never a thread that didn't actually discuss her such as caption threads, threads about the shuttle bay, the Tim Russ thread etc..

A quick search shows me that the tags kirk, reed, t'pol, archer and picard all still exist and are in current threads.

When I search for janeway the message I get is "No content has been tagged with 'janeway'." This would indicate that if the tag has been removed it's been done for many years back.

That's so weird. I noticed that Janeway wasn't in the tag cloud anymore. Now that I look at it again, the only captain in the cloud is Picard, and he's in tiny font. Maybe they've cleared out all the older entries to give the less popular ones more attention for a while.

I'm tagging this thread, let's see what happens to it. Mods, sorry if this interferes with some sort of plan for the tags. I'm just experimenting.

Thing is they aren't older entries if they're on the front page. They only stay there because people keep posting in them.

    CONSPIRACY!!!:scream::mad:

It's those pesky Janeway haters. First they get her killed in the novels, now they want her erased from TBBS! They're like Annorax, only worse.

I hate it when people say 'this is because I'm a woman!" and I have a gay friend who has said to twice this year "you can't say that to a gay man!"

    Yes, I'll agree on conspiracy.

but I'd further more agree on counterconspiracy.

My suggestion earlier in the thread that we stack the board might have been taken seriously by the admin, rather than the joke it was intended to be...

I have never tagged a thread ever.

    It's too Kathy Griffin.

    Now.

    they're probably cleaning the board.

And she'll be back when the error is noticed an smoothed out.

So claims of conspiracy and counterconspiracy are a little paranoid?

Lets go check out the feedback forum.

    It must be.

And if sitcoms have taught me anything, I'm only going to make it much worse before the ending credits roll.

    Oh.

They closed the thread in the questions and feedback forum.

It's like they learned nothing from X-Files.

Fuck me, Secret Circle is awful.

Well... my one small step for Janeway's place in the cloud universe was to tag the 2nd sexy thread with her monicker.

See... even THESE guys think its weird her name has disappeared from the tag cloud! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlZSe8lfZlA&feature=related

    Guy, I forgive you.

I have pm'd a mod about it. I don't exactly want to retag something and then get into trouble. Since it came up with a message stating the cloud doesn't exist I guess the tag itself was removed rather than from individual threads.

Maybe it's glitchy and just dropped out into the nether?

When the Borg ate Pluto and absorbed Janeway, her tag was nullified.

I'm wondering how these tag rankings work. I'd say a little more than half the items in the cloud have nothing to do with Star Trek at all.

Does anyone here actually use the tags? I know I don't.

Up till now I had unreasonable thoughts about how this happened.

She was to pretty, shit like that.

    but...

You know how janeway was just massive in the cloud.

Twice the size of Starwars and Startrek?

    Remember the Y2k threat?

what if instead of her tag count ticking from 999 tags to 1000 tags, it ticked over to 000 tags?

Kathryn has lapped everything and every one!

(I just woke up. This me on a good afternoons sleep.)

Your idea is very appealing. Death by awesomeness. But the "babe of the week" and "genre babe of the week" tags were much more massive than the "janeway" tag ever got to, before they were axed.

So once more Y2K is nothing more than red herring?

All those poor bastards studying applied math for nothing.
