2370 TNG Concept

This is just a rough draft of a TNG version of the Reliant concept from TWOK where the nacelles were above the hull, and the mail hull addition was underside.

I really like the mass and sleek bulk of this. I'm thinking of 2 more shuttle bays. And maybe a weapons pod/ sensor/ deflector array.

Any thoughts on this? Where this can go?








Maybe the nacelles should be a little closer to the ship, but extended further back?

I always felt that the TNG version of the Miranda class was the Nebula class...

Same here. Compact design with a weapons pod. though the Nebula has a far more developed and distinct secondary hull than the Miranda which really has none at all.

The Nebula Class was obviously inspired by it, but I've never considered it to be in the same "family". It was just too different.

My take with this one is for it to mimick a 24th century version of the Reliant concept ship. The one that had the nacelles above the hull. But still make it very Miranda-ish.

Actually, I think Forbin did a model of a TNG version of the Reliant- with the nacelles below of course.

Plus- I can add my new Captain's gig to this ship... It's very similar in style!
