These pics were taken against a foamcor starfield backdrop in my garage using a 1/1000 Polar Lights Enterprise and a 1/1600 Klingon battlecruiser.

Of all the forms of fan art, the patience and skill it obviously takes for some fans to assemble, paint, or otherwise prepare miniatures and photograph them to make them look like something that was on TV never ceases to amaze me.

I'm impressed with how you managed to get the stars look TOSish

The ship looks great!

Thank you for the kind and well written comment. I always appreciate those who put some thought into their responses. Thanks very much for the compliment.

It took about 5 minutes with black foamcore board and fluorescent white acrylic paint. Baiscally I dipped a stiff brush in the paint and flicked it onto the board by pulling back on the bristtles with my finger and flicking paint randomly onto the foamcore. Amazing how well that worked!

Very sweet work there. :techman: If I was working I'd ask you your rate to build one. :)

You know I've never built a model on commision for anyone yet. I have no idea what the going rate would be to build one like this with the on board lighting and all. I know I could probably complete one in about 6-8 hours of actual work now that I've done the first one. I'm thinking probably 200-300 dollars for something in this scale with the client providing the kit and me providing paints, putty, glue, and the lighting parts. Does that sound like too much?

That does sound very reasonable. I guess I'll have to seriously consider it when I get back working. being Unemployed takes the fun out of some things :)

OK. Send me a PM when you have the funding and we'll go from there if you're still interested. And good luck on the job search.
