Help me visualize this.....

The Castellan

Commodore
Commodore
I had a dream this morning, and saw a TOs style ship. It had the saucer in front, with a long, boxy middle structure. That part was in 2 sections...the rear half being a bit taller than the front half. Also, the warp drive pods were on pylons, but the pylons were in a type of sweft wing design, and attached to the sides of the boxy main section, while the saucer was somewhat fused to the front of the main section. Length had to be similar to a maybe.....10% longer than a Constitution I think.

Thanks for any help.:techman:

Something like this?

not quite....pylons were the other direction, and the body part was taller, and narrower. and the saucer was more foreward, more of the circumference was seen.

Would it be correct to say this is going too far the other way?

Almost there :techman:, just make the neck 3 times thicker, and the rear hull the same, no angles on it....the neck and rear hull were pretty much the same sizes, just the rear hull was a little bit taller than the connecting piece.

Sounds a little like my old U.E.S. Vanguard, though I now realize your mid-section "in two parts" had a somewhat different meaning.

You could say that, the saucer and rear body thicknesses are spot on there. I'd say fill in the gap, make the rear 50% of the rectangular hull a little taller, extend the pylons to a more TOS length, and we might have it.:cool:

Ian if you lower those engines you get a federation version
of the Ktinga Class :cool::cool: :) :techman::techman::techman::techman:

The comparison is inevitable, true, but I was actually inspired by the 70s Legion of Superheroes Mk10 cruiser

Damn now that you showed me that picture I remember that I use to read a lot of comics in my younger days :)
you know if you federationize that ship on s smaller scale
use the Burke class frigate hull and engines it would make
a nice heavy frigate or Destroyer :techman:
