Being Human (American Version) - Season 2

I had a vague hunch a while back that the dark figure was Sally. It lasted a millisecond and I dismissed it. Turns out I was onto something.

I was wondering why no one else saw the Reaper. A ghost that other ghosts cannot see? Or have heard of? I knew the Reaper wasn't entirely on the level.

Aiden is such a murderous fellow.

Homeboy without the skin...yuck. That chick was psychotic to do that...even for a vampire.

Didn't know werewolves could be possessed. I suppose in human form there's no reason they shouldn't, but IIRC the werewolves are immune to vampire hypnosis.

Well, I sure didn't see that coming, but it all makes sense. Looks like Aiden was right-- the Reaper was just a ghost pretending to be a Reaper.

Boner seemed to know what a Reaper is, though, so they must be real. Or was Boner part of Sally's hallucination?

Well, those chicks were both 'glamored' by Aiden, so, she didn't know or tell until her freaking out broke his influence.
Still...ick.

I meant Dichen Lachman's character was sick to skin him "alive" in the previous episode, even for the murderous vamp she is. (I can't remember the characters' names and I watch every week...)

Since this episode went really dark, I searched online to see what was being said about Being Human and was surprised by how clueless one reviewer was about where Aiden and Henry met. She thought it might've been the Civil War. Even if she missed the title card that listed the location and year, did the foreign language not tip her off? Or the uniforms?

She's probably watched too much True Blood and Vampire Diaries and not enough Downton Abbey . . . .

Seriously, both True Blood and VD have done Civil War flashbacks, so maybe she's getting the shows mixed up. Or thinks that all vampires were created during the War Between the States!

This was pretty intense this week, everyone seemed to crank their game up. I like that they addressed how far everyone had strayed. This show really makes you feel the hunger and addiction of bloodlust. Interesting ending with the reaper, a different side of him than we've seen as well.

Meaghan Rath is quite a sight in purple!

She looked so purty in purple. Interesting palette of her fantasy world.

I'm tired of the Reaper. But it was too easy to do a reset button on Sally.

Vampires don't drink werewolf blood for a reason.

The house seems bigger on the inside.

I realized that the house has the same basic design as the house from All In The Family. :rommie:

This was a great episode; in fact, the whole Reaper arc has been great. Looks like the Reaper will continue on as the monkey on Sally's back-- the equivalent of Josh's wolf and Aiden's hunger. The character dynamics in this show are fantastic and really hit a new high with this story; all of the actors were at the top of their game.

And it was nice to see Sally wearing something different-- especially the purple underwear. :D

This was their bottle episode and it was pretty good for something that took place entirely around a staircase.

Purple was a good color, yeah, but I was more impressed by the tight dress. :p Have we seen her in anything besides her usual ghost attire? Maybe once when she possessed someone, but other than that, I can't remember anything.

Interesting palette of her fantasy world.
I was impressed by the job the production crew did, refurbishing the set like that.

I'm glad they didn't go the route of having a vampire be able to drink warewolf blood. Can't have one supernatural force with too much power over another. That's one thing I like about this show. They keep a certain distance and balance.

The reaper reminded me of Mara, Lord of Illusion, the part of the Buddha's psyche that tried to lead him astray. Mara got bored and left though when he realized that he couldn't taunt the Buddha. If the writers are following a similar route, then Sally will have to either ignore him without pushing him away or accept him.

I don't remember the underwear.

^^

It was when she was checking out different outfits in the mirror-- including her usual gray sweater-- just before the party.

Having to wear that same outfit for eternity, one could almost see why she'd choose the fantasy world.

I wonder if Aiden consuming werewolf blood will have anymore side effects next week.

Also of note, Sally shredding ghosts...it was the "Reaper" persona that said the shredded ghosts are gone forever, based on Sally's reactions after the kid shredded the ghost who attacked her.

Do you remember when Jason and his girlfriend (Mmmmmmmmmm... Lizzy Caplan) ODed on Vampire Blood in True Blood during their... Can you really call it an orgy if there's only two people involved?

2x12 was a good one. I figured that Josh & Julia wouldn't last and I was wondering how they'd write her out.

What they did was well done. It was sad, but effective. She got her peace and we got an end that didn't involve things falling apart a second time. I wonder how Julia's friends will take the news though.
