Was there any singing in Enterprise?

I've been wracking my brain trying to remember.

In TOS we had Beyond Antares, space hippies, Riley's Irish ballad.

In TNG we had Klingon opera (and probably more but I'm a bit rusty on TNG).

In VOY we had the EMH singing a lot and 7 of 9 singing a little.

In DS9 we had a whole singing character in Vic Fontaine.

Was there any singing in ENT? By anyone?

No, they didn't. They just wished him a happy birthday. The copyright for the song 'Happy Birthday' makes it cost prohibitive to sing it on a televised series (part of the real world reason why the Enterprise-D crew sang 'For He's a Jolly Good Fellow' in Klingon for Worf's birthday in TNG 'Parallels').

Wow! I've never read that, that's great! Thank you very much!

Scott Bakula: I don’t know what their thoughts were about it. We got so wrapped up in other story stuff that it seemed really inappropriate while I was trying to save the entire human race and the planet and start the Federation that I took an episode off to sing. It would be like – ‘and then he went off to play golf’.

Or then he went to play baseball on the holodeck.

Wasn't that after they saved the planet..? ;)

There was a musical intermezzo in the Terra Nova episode. I didn't like the music that much, but I did appreciate the idea. It made me sympathize a little bit more with the Novans.

She is quite captivating, isn't she?

She is Miss Felicity Lemon, secretary of Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot, played by the British actress Pauline Moran.

And to think Poirot finds her ugly...

Hey odO ital, charmingest avatar ever!

Glad ya like it. I saw My Neightbor Totoro for the first time the other day, and the avatar is of my favorite scene in the movie. Took forever to find a screencap that wasn't altered or a parody in some way...
