wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

I'm kind of indifferent to another Taker-Triple H match, but I'm sure it will be solid. I have to wonder if they really will attach Michaels as a special referee and put Triple H's career on the line. I don't see Trips retiring for good anytime soon, but I could see him using the opportunity to walk away for a good while.

Point is, I really don't see Undertaker losing, and I'm curious as to whether or not this will be his last match, win or lose.

This is why I don't see the point to the rematch. Sure all the elements are there from last year. Even including Shawn, since as Timothy pointed out a while back, Undertaker ended his career two years ago. The streak will remain intact, Undertaker will get his revenge, but this really doesn't do anything for Triple H. To me the interesting thing about this if anything is what might happen afterwards. Will Marc do one more run? Or is this the final match?

Also, I've been thinking about a WWE title redesign. I don't think they're going to do one. If they do I only think we will get a main plate redesign, which is what fans really want. I wonder if they've talked to Reggie Parks about this or not? It would be interesting to see what would be done if this ever happens. I don't think Vince is really all that interested in a redesign.

Finally...is it just me or is the whole Garrett/Eric Bishoff story line reminding anyone of the Ric/David Flair thing back in WCW? I watched a segment last night where Garrett nails his father in the head with a punch (badly sold punch too). Since I don't watch Impact I guess this was a thing building up for a while?

I found this amusing...remember too that Hogan and Bischoff recently resigned for another two years I think. They really are going to grind TNA into the ground if Dixie doesn't wake up soon.

I really wouldn't be surprising if HBK was made special guest ref. I could see creative doing that just to include something different in the rematch.

Unless they are planning a side story - if - Shawn Michaels is assigned as referee for the match, then I have no interest in HBK's involvement other than classic marking out for the appearance of a legend like Michaels.

There won't be any purpose served other than to give Michaels a payday, which he doesn't need considering he has invested his money wisely and lives a modest lifestyle. Unless of course HBK screw Taker over, in which case both Triple H and HBK will forever recieve fan backlash and heel heat everywhere they go. Triple H will be forever accused of having an inflated ego and Undertaker, despite his legend, will be branded by his defeat at Wrestlemania.

So, it makes no sense for Undertaker to lose at Wrestlemania - period. With that in mind the way to draw is to create a big angle and put on one hell of a match that looks like it could go either way. Doubt is the best weapon for an Undertaker Wrestlemania match to draw, not having a spot fest helps too. Last year's match was overhyped by a lot of people, despite the fact it was just filled with finishing moves and Triple H throwing everything at Undertaker. I'd give it 3.5/5, in comparison to the 4.99/5 Taker vs. Michaels Part 1 is worth in my book (it just misses perfection because on the elements in the match (the cameraman plant) failed to catch Taker properly and led to him knocking himself silly from his outside dive).

I guess Undertaker just doesn't want to work with somebody he doesn't completely trust at this point in his career, injuries and all, and there really isn't anyone on the roster I can think of, besides Triple H, who can fill that role. I have no doubt it'll be a good match, and if Michaels gets involved will lead to some good TV leading up to the match. I just don't have a whole lot of interest in it at this juncture. I'm not anticipating it.

There's been talk for a while of throwing Michaels into the mix. Given his upcoming appearance on RAW, things certainly seem to be pointed in that direction.

http://www.twnpnews.com/2012/02/alberto-del-rio-says-he-legitimately-hates-the-miz/

Berto Hates The Miz!
Legitimately Not Liking The Miz In Particular: “The Miz, I hate The Miz. This is not part of the show. I really dislike like that guy. I’ve tried to punch him in the face several times, not in the ring, I mean outside the ring. He’s like a little girl. He’s always running away from me … There’s a big difference between The Miz and I,” Del Rio said. “I’m a real athlete. He’s just a loud, stupid little kid. He’s one of those guys who was probably bullied when he was in school and that’s the reason now that he’s so loud and he wants to get attention from everybody.”

[edit] ADR said he doesn't like most of the guys.

I just really feel like from all the stuff I've read about the thing that this is just another case of Vince putting something together at the last minute because nothing else has been there. I know we've made suggestions in the thread. No doubt they've talked about it at great length, we'd be stupid and naive to think otherwise. This is just tossed together as a back up plan like last year after the Sting thing fell through. I don't know anyone will know what the original plan was until after 28 happens.

I gotta be honest with you guys. I'm not really interested in 28 right now. They've been building up and seeding these big main events now. That's all fine and good. I don't care about Rock/Cena because while they've promoting it, there is ZERO build up and a lack of any story there. Rock's off filming movies and doing what Dwayne wants to do which is his business, but don't cut a big promo when you return and tell us it's not about movies and you're not going to leave again! That's bullshit. Last time I counted he has signed on for like four films since he returned. I'm not saying it's because of his return, just don't cut a promo saying it's not about promoting a movie or whatever then go off and film movies while you're trying to still have one of the biggest matches in Wrestlemania history. We've never seen a main even promoted or handled or built like this before. I have maintained this stance from the start...this is ridiculous. I hope they do a large buy rate, but I really don't give a shit.

The only thing I that I am remotely interested in is Jericho/Punk, and I hope Jericho takes the title and then they do a chase story line or something. Cause that really is what fans love to see. The Chase. Not the defense. I said somewhere earlier that I was surprised that Punk has almost tied or surpassed Miz's reign which lasted until the PPV after Wrestlemania. I predict the same thing will happen. I think the Punk/John L story line will culminate at 28 with JeriTroll capturing the thing he came back for, the WWE TItle, and John L will end up screwing CM Punk and it will be revealed that Jericho and Big Johnny have been in cahoots all this time. Where they go from there I dunno.

I think they are all jealous Miz is dating Maryse...who can blame them...

:p

I'd say JR is probably right about that.

If that's really Del Rio's opinion, then I guess he's entitled. I personally enjoy Miz as a heel a whole lot more.

Cena/Rock, I never believed for a second was going to be handled any differently than it's been handled so far, so I guess I'm not as annoyed about the whole thing. I think it'll be good, same with Taker/Triple H, but right now, I'm not sure if anything can be done to move it from being "good" to something along the lines of "legendary." I guess that would have to be for history to decide anyway.

Punk/Jericho is where my interests lie, too. Those two can steal any show they go on.

I read a nice interview with DDP not too long about Jericho using his "Yoga for Regular Guys" method. I honestly don't know a whole lot about it.

The Fire Cole Hire Tony Schivone sign was awesome on Raw during the "debate" segment. It's amazes me how accurate the dirt sheets are getting now. Looks like UT is getting ready of his hair (since he supposedly has none now). Shawn is probably gonna be made guest ref. This thread is pretty dead now :(

Why are they ending Raw with this garbage Eve/Cena/Kane crap? It's TNA like.

Kevin Nash was officially removed from the Raw roster and has got into arguments on twitter with fans about Trips/Taker.

when it comes to blondes I get my head turned around like in the excersist just without the barfing.

Randy Orton has suffered a concussion and won't be participating in the Elimination Chamber Match for the World Heavyweight Championship this weekend. This is according to wwe.com.

That's not exactly reassuring news about Orton and I would hope that he is thinking about his options at this stage, given that multiple concussions spell bad news for athletes (He's had 2 or 3 in the last couple of years).

The more concussions a person has, the more likely they are to develop post-concussion syndrome which is a nasty ailment that can and does end athletes careers. Christopher Nowinski and Bret Hart are both victims of this syndrome and Nowinski has even turned his career focus to running research and raising awareness of this condition and others associated with head injuries.

The rumour mill is flooding and I'm sure I'm not the only person who has speculated that Orton could be considering taking an "Undertaker" style leave of absence or even considering early retirement - hopefully the condition isn't that bad, but you can't put a price on health. If anything, Orton should hopefully decrease the amount of bumps he takes in the ring and focus on a less-riskier style.

It can be done without diminishing the quality of performance, I know that this is a poor example but Edge reduced his high-risk performances following his neck injury in 2002 and wrestled better than he had ever done before. Although he would later develop the early signs of Spinal Stenosis, he didn't suffer any more neck injuries during his in-ring career, whereas many wrestlers don't cut back and do suffer further neck injuries that end up costing them their careers and can easily lead to physical problems later on in life.

Did anyone notice that Cena did the X sign after Ryder (poor Zach lol I knew they'd use him like this eventually) was pushed off the stage by Kane? I thought that was only reserved for actual real life injuries sustained?
