But, there are claims of the sighting of a living woolly mammoth.

ETA: upon further reflection, it kinda looks like a bear carrying something in its mouth to me.

The head looks off.

Here's a video of a bear crossing a river in similar fashion. You can see in the second half that both the mother and one of her cubs were kind of lumbering when the river was shallow enough for them walk to the shore.
