BBC Original British Drama

As is someone else apparently, I don't watch it but doesn't sound like many of the original cast will be left now.

Annie will be the only original character left. Not sure about Nina, but if she's still there she'll at least be from the first series, while there's a werewolf who was a recurring character last series back and a new vampire.

I just watched the first season of Luther and enjoyed it. Idris Elba was great but Paul McGann got a nice meaty part in the final episode which I quite liked.

The second season is even better, although shorter. It's basically two feature length episodes, each split into two. BBC have commissioned another set but I don't know when it will be appearing.

I do know that Alice isn't in it as much which saddens me. I hear she's going to be back for season 3, though. I need my psychopath crush in the show.

Some pretty stiff competition in the category too...

Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
Hugh Bonneville - Downton Abbey
Idris Elba - Luther - WINNER!
William Hurt - Too Big To Fail
Bill Nighy - Page Eight
Dominic West - The Hour

Looks cool, nice to see Gillian Anderson there :)

BTW, anyone else wact The Line of Duty that's been on BBC2 the last 6 weeks?

Not exactly the Shadow Line but I thought it was quite good

I loved it. A few niggles, not least the painful Wire-wannabe bits on the streets and even in some of the dialogue, but otherwise 5 hours well spent. Totally agree it had nothing on The Shadow Line but what has? I hear a second series is already confirmed too, which I think is actually needed. Wrapping up with the captions, as it was a real story, was too rushed for my liking.

Also, you really cannot go wrong with Craig Parkinson.

I started watching it last night but thanks to painkillers wasn't paying attention. They already renewed it for a second series.
