Can anyone tell me what type of car the doctor's car bessie is?.
Bessie was one of a limited edition of a kit car made by Siva/Neville Trickett (Design) ltd; of Blandford, Dorset.
...
The Siva two-seater Roadster and the four-seater Tourer were designed to fit directly on to an unmodified E93A For[d] chassis.
It'd be quaint to see Bessie show up in the new series. I can imagine UNIT keeping the thing in storage should the Doctor ever come to claim it. Or barring that, the Doctor finally decuded to take it with him, materializing the TARDIS around the lil' roadster...and promptly "losing" it deep within the bowels of the police box.
I haven't read any of the "original" novels, but in one or more of them I think the 8th Doctor kept a VW "bug" in a corner of the steampunk/gothic console room just in case he needed conventional transportation.
Sincerely,
Bill

Bessie was mothballed after the Doctor's last days operating as UNIT's scientific advisor, but was brought back in the 1989 serial "Battlefield." To bring it back now and in the same manner as before would seem unncessarily repetitive.
