Explain The Origin Of Your Signature

Mine is the plain truth most people don't want to hear. Its a play on "War is not the Answer" bumper stickers. That America going to War is always the best answer and America entering a War has always changed the world and usually for the better.

Yeah about that...no offence, but can we go back to the one where you let Britain pick the wars? :p

Mine's a simple Doctor Who line that had some unexpected personal meaning for me when I heard it.

A pic says more than a thousand words:

I never know whether to be pleased or disturbed at this increasing trend for people to blatantly display their thirst for war and aggression. On the one hand, at least the honest truth is coming out and there's no more hiding behind false claims of valuing peace or stability...on the other hand it makes me think that if people want to trigger something very big and very ugly (and indeed there are those who would profit from such), around now would be a very good time for them to start. The mindset is already in place among certain populations (or significant subsets of them), it would seem. The blatantly aggressive statements and postures coming out of certain political theatres are pointing to a shift that I'm sure will be regretful.

I also notice the odd capitalization of the word "war"; significant, I assume. Not just war but War, the living, breathing power.

It's not about whether or not war is the answer, but whether it's become your driving question.

Here, submit that and maybe you can win a spot in the 2012 awards.

Always the best answer to what, by the way? You don't specify, so the assumption would be that going to war is the best answer to every situation, which is obviously idiotic and insane.

America going to War is always the best answer
As an American, i.e. as a citizen of the United States, and incidentally one natural born, I feel obliged to make it clear that I disagree with this statement.

Remind me what branch of the military you served in and which theatres of conflict you saw action?

I often feel like I'm having a religious discussion with Americans, particularly those of the "America is all wise and will save the world" variety. Uh huh.

Just because some Americans have a tiny war penis doesn't mean we're all that way. ;)

I think it's safe to say most of us do...

Also a natural-born American citizen, who's been around long enough and seen enough to know what pathetic nonsense this kind of destructive pro-war drum beating is and how much it's cost us.

There's certainly that element but for a lot of folks it seems to border on religious belief and fervor.

Even Lex Luthor wasn't quite so ready to beat the war drums...

"Nobody wants war. I just want to keep the THREAT alive."

"War Penis"... :guffaw:

My sig... is a fish.

After all this war controversy, this is quite a let-down. ;)

Why is it a fish? What is the fish representing? Does the fish have a name or a purpose or an opinion on whether war is the answer or not?

The straight-forward truth of your response amuses me :p ;)
