Just cannot get a traffic/moving citation lately...

So, in the last few days I've done these directly in front of a cop/sheriff deputy.

Passed by a cop going 60+ in a 45.
Passed by a cop going 80+ in a 65.
Passed a car on a double yellow in front of a deputy (he yelled at me but didn't give me a ticket or warning)
Blew through a stop sign in front of a deputy.
Went through a red light with a cop following me.
Made a left turn from a right turn lane in front of a cop.
And almost rear ended a cop at the airport.

In all of these the cop plainly saw me or was running laser, and not a single citation... seriously do they just ignore red Explorers?

I know, I know... traffic laws, safety, all that crap... it's like I don't ignore traffic laws or not care about them, just tend to forget about them.

Yeah, be impressed. Like the guy with the loudest motorcycle or the guy who can squeal his tired before having to slam on the breaks for the next intersection two blocks ahead.

But I really should stop letting myself be less complacent when I drive, it's not so much that I'm not paying attention to the road, but more like "No cars coming I can go" or "Ok, I'm annoyed by this jackass, I'm going around him". Aside from nearly rear ending the cop, none of the other situations would of resulted in an accident or even a near miss.

Everything you said you did is reckless driving. The only conclusion I can draw is that these deputies are lazy or incompetent.

Never even have had as much as an accident... but in all those you mentioned, there weren't other cars coming on the cross street or in the straight or left turn lane. I'm not going argue with the kill someone statement, because that's something that is totally possible. The speeding thing... well I hate driving slow, feels un-natural to me.

I don't know... I know driving is a privilege, rules of the road, etc. it's just that much of the time there's no reason for a stop sign to be in front of a driveway, or on the main road crossing a side road. The side ride should have the stop sign, not the other way around.

Are there purposeless road signs out there? Yes there are. But guess what? Most of the ones YOU think are purposeless are actually that way for a very good reason. Just because it isn't convenient to your momentary transportation desires does not mean they're "wrong".

I have gotten other citations... just not the Explorer. Gotten a few in the Impala, the Mustang, the Camry, and the Aurora. I didn't say they were wrong to be there, just no reason to be there. If you're driving on the main roadway why would that one have a stop sign on it, while the 25mph side road doesn't, or the driveway??? Stopping for a driveway??? Hell, I'm willing to bet the owner put it there, same as the builder stop signs, you know the ones put up by the builder of homes instead of D.O.T.? They're the ones in the most useless places, like where there's a small cul-de-sac where a car comes out of there 6-8 times a day?

Two thoughts. First, where do you live? I don't want to go there. Second, what's your liscence plate number? On the off chance I end up anywhere near you, I would like to know what vehicle you're in so if I see you coming, I can pop a cyanide pill and off myself before you get to.

Also, there are better ways to destroy your vehicle. For example, the Mythbusters are always taking vehicle donations. That way, your car will be totaled, and they probably won't kill anyone while doing it.

2. Buy a bus pass.
