Oh, I missed that, I got locked out of the stream I was on and the other hiccuped. Oh well. The mayor is kinda greedy. What do you think happened? I think she didn't win and now tries to raise the money a different way. But that seems like a somewhat uninventive plot.

Holy shit. I don't know what I just watched, but it was awesome. There was kind of an evil glee to this episode that's atypical for the show, what with Derpy and the I Love Lucy reference and using Pinkie as a weapon. Plus the writers stranding Pinkie and Rarity in the desert. And I liked it.

Hahaha, I loved Dashie's scene at the end. "Now you've made me go all sappy." The final scene with Pinkie and Rarity was hilarious, too.
It was the premise I expected but they executed it very well and kept us guessing what was really going on. A straight A episode for me.

It certainly demonstrated excellently why the Pinkie Pie Launcher is such a feared weapon. 
Yeah, loved Dashie with the earplugs, "Cherry Chonga!" 
Also we know they have a Cherry orchard equivalent to Sweet Apple Achres out in sourthen Equestria.
And all the little moments too, Pinkie being Pinkie, Granny Smith yet again, Apple Bloom with Applejacks hat etc
Just watching the repeat now, the orange haired green cowpony from Appleloosa is in the barn when they get the telegram, looks like she made some friends out there.
The ending was hilarious though

Wow, this was wall-to-wall hilarity. Pinkie was totally off the wall (which made up for her necessarily more serious portrayal last week), everyone had some great moments, and Derpy! 
This was episode 14, which probably makes it the first we've seen that was written post-Faust. (She's said she oversaw the writing through to finished screenplays for the first half of the season, but not for the second.) It definitely felt different, like they were catering more towards the adult audience, but in a good way. I hope the rest of the season is this good.
That was brilliant! And Fluttershy and Pinkie as Ethel and Lucy was great!
Oh god, i missed the livestrem this moring casue i had to go to work. I would love to have seen what the bronystate chat room was like when derp spoke. It must have gone nuts. I know i did.
