Post Pictures of Your Food

If we can post pictures of ourselves and our pets then why not our meals?

I'm on a business trip in Austin, TX and they have a lot of great places to eat so I thought I'd share.

Ribs and Sausage from Iron Works BBQ:

Guacamole Salad from Maria's Taco Xpress:

Various sushi rolls from Roll On Sushi Diner:

Also from the sushi place, "The Elvis": a fried egg roll containing peanut butter, bananas and bacon:

Not sure if this thread will stay open since we have so many things like it, but I'll play for now.

I often post my healthy food on facebook, but its usually not the fanciest fare.

One of my better steak sandwiches. By better, I mean half the filling falls out due to the 'eyes-bigger-than-stomach' syndrome I often suffer.

The above was not made to look pretty - only to taste GOOD. Sirloin steak med-rare with fresh tomato, grilled pepper and portobello mushroom; topped with light aioli and hot peri peri sauce.

If I were serving it to someone else I would have made the portions prettier. But this 6'5" Kiwi was hungry and - IIRC - a little hungover. This was all about good EATS!

Awhile back I found a recipe online for Oreo-stuffed chocolate chip cookies (It's essentially just enveloping oreos in chocolate chip cookie dough and then baking them.) So I made some:

I'd pay good money for this over "pretty" restaurant food ANYDAY!

Paging Trekker4747.

Now just deep fry that baby and you've got yourself a party!

No pickles???? Ruined :(

No pickles???? Ruined :(

Pickles?!?

Philistine!

(Nothing personal, Q, but I have a lifelong distaste for pickles, unless they're sweet gherkins. Why people have this fetish for putting pickles on every damn thing is beyond me. My college cafeteria kept wanting to put pickles on grilled-cheese sandwiches. Who in Og's name puts pickles on grilled-cheese sandwiches??? It's insane, I tell you!! It's a conspiracy!! I have proof! Photographs!! Signed--)

Photos from my family's annual "First Night" Holiday party on January 1, complete with traditional home-made Lebanese cuisine!

...and the ever-classic tabbouleh.

Man, I miss my parents' cooking!

Yeah. The way we prepare the dish in our family, the grape leaves cook in the pot with the beef. This flavors the beef with the taste of the grape leaves. Very delicious!
