Image blocking question

Does anyone know if there is a way to block images such as avatar and signature pics on forums? I ask because I don't like being distracted by hundreds of different photos and sparkly signatures in forums that I'm not a member of when I'm just looking for some information.

Is there any apps available for firefox?

yup... there's Image Block 2.1...

works pretty well for blocking most image formats on websites... doesn't work for flash based images and advert links... and might also remove a lot of image based 'buttons' for moving around websites...

like i said, just watch yourself with it... a lot of websites use standard .gif or .png buttons for links around the site, so they might vanish as well with you using this plugin...

also all emotes will vanish along with any other 'graphics' from the site... so you're loosing a lot of media content
