Still working on it! if anyone actually remembers this project.. come to think of it I'm working on it even if no one remembers it
Really enjoyed the Starbase 11 work. Always been one of my favorite pieces of art from TOS. Sir Rhosis
Re: "...Twisted Web" Groundhog Day 2011 update [update for groundhog day 2011] Rise and shine campers! Don't forget your booties 'cause it's cold out there today!
Re: "...Twisted Web" Feb 2011 update (The uppermost part of the image contains a bit of a hint as to how I've been lighting these interiors)
I remember! (Or at least, I was looking at your listing at my website within the last few weeks, and I was wondering what was going on! I needed to create Star Trek Reviewed because I find following this stuff so complex and confusing! The thousands of others who have used the website, I did it for ME!) ... Thanks for the Update!!! I'll be adding a link to this thread from your listing! http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/143.html See (R).
Not exactly an update: This project is pretty much on hold for now. Just don't have the time. Hopefully I'll get back to it at some point.
Yeah, you've been moved to (CC) which is a long term hold letter. Thank you for letting us know what's happening! Good luck with your PhD!
I agree that your work looks great! Perhaps you could put your time and energy into a shorter project, like a vignette. That way you'd have something to show everyone and maybe get some assistance for a larger project as well.
That's too bad, I was looking forward to this. Good luck with your endeavours and I hope you manage to get back this this project one day.
I don't want to get ahead of myself this time but I actually do have an idea for a much smaller scale project in the interim. An unrelated story, but would let me put my CG assets to good use. The basic idea would be to tell a much simpler story, and to tell it in small 3 or 4 minutes segments. Not going to say much right now, since it's quite possible nothing will come of it. I may post a few stills and/or animations from time to time if there's interest.
A little bit of a teaser then.. We'll see how this works out. The key thing I need to do is keep it simple. **I don't think I'll be updating this thread much beyond this point. IF this new project gets off the ground I might consider promoting it, but only once I have something to show other than just visual effects.
WOW... Great pictures... I hope to see your work completed some day. I would love to see this in 3 or 4 min. segments. One or two of your pictures with a sound track and diaolog would be great. This looks really Great!!!!! How long have you been working with the software? I just check out some on the first page... WOW
