The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

Why should he develop a new suit or car if the damn things work?

Well, in all fairness, the new suit did make him more susceptible to knives and gunfire. In The Dark Knight, he got stabbed and shot a fair amount of times. You would think he would want to improve upon that.
Stabbed, shot and he walked away from it. So he probably thinks he doesn't need to.
There was a redesign of TDK suit in Japan where they made a Batpod Toy and Batman with a TDK style suit but with extra padding around the chest and neck for protection. I like the idea of adding things on, not getting a new suit but improving the old one.

I still don't buy that there's an 8 year break because Bruce needs to chill after TDK. I think something else has to have occurred. My preference would be the back-breaking, of course, as I think it's a neat idea. We'll have to see.

Just spitballing, but I was thinking yesterday that Lucius gets killed and the reveal of Dent's past / Gordon getting fucked up happens very early in the film, as part of a message from Bane to Batman: "We know who you are and we know your support network. Come out of hiding."

^ I think it has to do more with Gordon in the hospital than anyone else actually. I do agree that it seems to be a message from Bane to bring Batman out of hiding. I also think that perhaps the manhunt for Batman is the reason Batman is absent. Perhaps he couldn't "endure" as Alfred said he had to. So many unanswered and interesting questions.

*shake my head*

Just when I thought I might have escaped all that Batman talk...

I spent a good....6 months on TDKR board on IMDb...You want to know drama? Take a trip there some time...

All that aside, I'm pretty excited for this movie, despite some obvious issues (Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, like for real?! I'll never get over that)...I know it won't be as good as TDK, but I've been a Batman fan for most of my life, so I'm sure it'll be worth the watch.

Damn...so will the Riddler be in it? I mean, he's the obvious choice for the villain.

Uhm, no....Bane and Catwoman. And potenially Talia Al Ghul...*shrugs*
pssstttt...Broccoli is a jokester, especially about ignoring "The Last Stand"

Why so serious?

Damn...so will the Riddler be in it? I mean, he's the obvious choice for the villain.

It's totally going to be Khan.

So sayeth teh Internets.

But they already did that. Time for something new!
