"Pinkie Pie tries babysitting the Cakes' twin toddlers but finds it harder than she thought."

(In other news, it's bizarre to hear Rainbow Dash hand Fluttershy's voices coming out of the characters from Stawberry Shortcake. I've got the BronyState stream open in another tab, so all I can hear is the audio, and it threw me for a loop for a moment.)

Huh, so two earthponies *can* give birth to Unicorns and Pegasi as long as there were some in their ancestry. Or Mrs. Cake has a lot of explaining to do...

Sorry but the magic wonderfoals thing and a waste of Pinkie for them just isn't good. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle are far more canon than these two, so there better be some explanation coming.

B. I liked it. Not the greatest, but a lot of fun the whole way through. My favorite moment was when Twilight showed up and, in her typical socially clueless way, was waaaaaaay too blunt. Nice going, girl. I'm basically like Pinkie when it comes to kids; I don't have a clue what to do with them, so I could identify.

Though I'll agree on the "flying Pound Cake" bit. They handwaved Pumpkin's magic away with Rarity's line about random magic surges, but what's his excuse?

Poor Scootaloo

Indeed.

And I guess we know where all the songs from this season went. Pinkie has, what, three of them?

There was a chance for a good Pinkie song and we didn't get one, but the fandom PiggyPie thing. Twilight and Fluttershy cameos were good, I wish they'd had the mane 6 all trying together to babysit but no.

I dunno, this one just felt pretty meh.

What. It's been 15 minutes. How?

(I'm sure he made it ahead of time and just changed the color on the foal right before upload. Still impressive.)

 Awesome.

I liked it. The wonder twins were soooo cute and I didn't mind them having their respective powers. I figured it was a metaphor for the fact that babies often have capabilities you wouldn't expect in them which leads to all kinds of problems while babysitting. And the flying can be easily explained. babies don't weigh much which means at that point the wings might be strong enough to make them fly while later they enter a phase where their weight is too big for them until their wings have grown to the appropriate strength. Also, was it ever really established that Scootaloo can't fly at all? We just never see her do it. Besides, isn't there a scene where she flies over a tree branch which is in her way?
I liked the explanation of how pegasi and unicorns can be the offspring of Earth ponies and the ribbing of the fans. ("That makes sense, right?")
Pinkie Pie going slightly crazy was fun, too.

I'll give it a B.

I'm watching the episode right now. The twins are hilarious as is Pinkie Pie's not knowing what in the heck she's doing. And whoever compared this to Newborn Cuties in G 3.5... :wtf: They didn't poop, scream or cause mayhem... or slapstick.

ETA: I finished and really appreciate the writers recognizing how difficult childcare really is. When children aren't magical, it's hard. I think Pinkie's character took a step forward. One question for you horror-movie minded folks... which movie was being referenced?

I took it as a metaphor as well. Let's face it; anyone who has watched babies and toddlers does wonder how the hell they get into the situations they do, seemingly in an instant when your back is turned for a split second.

Loved Pinkie, loved ever helpful Twilight, loved the song, loves the cute little beebees HNNGGG!

I gave it an A.

That was excellent. Yeah, it's a story we've seen a thousand times, but it was well executed. Poor Mr. Cake.

I loved Rarity's reaction to babysitting. We've come a long way from Barbie.
