Have you posted on TrekBBS from an airplane?

Okay so basically this isn't that exciting, I just bought WIFI on my domestic connection flight from New York to San Francisco and I'm posting from the Nevada/California border in a Boeing 757.

I lucked out w/ a middle seat night to a inconsiderate dude who keeps turning off my fan and elblowing me while he tries to sleep. The dude on the otherside in the aisle has a cement lock to the armrest. Seriously, FRAK the middle-seat on long flights.

Anyway, rant-aside....have you ever posted on TrekBBS from an Air Plane?

I don't even know what an airplane is. Is it one of those fancy sky cars?

Slightly more seriously:

Does posting from my phone whilst flying a flight simulator on my computer count?

Cause I just might do that.

I once sent a text message while piloting. (Best way to let someone at the destination know that you're almost there.)

I've had sex at elevations great than 5,280 MSL. Not in plane however, beyond the fact the bathrooms are awful, and I would never have sex on the toilet, you'd probably also get arrested for suspicious behavior or some TSA shit.

Twice actually. Once from a 737, and once while flying me mates Cessna. (Before you lot blow a gasket, he took over while I posted. I'm not that good at multitasking.)

Like MasDeb pointed out. I nearly posted something that would fit well in the Too much information thread.

Writing a relatively simple post would be trivial compared to briefing an approach plate.....

Nope, and probably won't. I've pretty much given up on flying.

As to the other.......no going there. :p

I saw a football game at Mile High Stadium once.

I have 2 seats from the original Mile High Stadium.

I'm jealous! I loved the old Mile High Stadium. I wish I had seats from Shea Stadium, too.

To answer the OP- no. I haven't been on a plane since 1993. TrekBBS didn't exist then. :p And even if it had, I wouldn't have had a laptop to take on a plane! (Old laptops were HUGE.)

Now that, me friend, is a very good point. I was actually wondering if that thing was supposed to be used in flight... :p

First time I saw that thing actually wondered what the hell it was. But I figured; Hey, if its not in the cockpit in Microsoft Flight Simulator, it can't be that important.

I feel compelled to remind everyone that use of cellular phones during IFR flight (which includes all commercial flight) is against the Federal Aviation Regulations.

I actually have heard a clicking sound on the radio when a phone call is received, by the way. So it's not a completely arbitrary regulation.

Its not illegal here either. Although, they enforce it nonetheless. They throw you off the plane despite the fact that its technically not illegal.
