They should have waited for the sequel. It would have made a compelling cliffhanger.

It could have been an "Empire Strikes Back" deal

The Magneto heel-face turn could have been done better. As it is, it comes off as Magneto saying, "I am intrigued by your views and would like to subscribe to your newsletter, but, you killed my mother, prepare to die." And, seeing as how none of Shaw's associates are classic Brotherhood members, Magneto could have easily dispatched them for siding with Shaw, then gone on to create his own group.

Funny how talented artists only need four minutes to convey a message and make a solid point, while for others, not even 70 minutes of semi-coherent nerdrage isn't quite enough.

These HISHE toons are true gems, IMO.

Classic shit right here...

This shot at RLM isn't worth much. People have been reviewing films on youtube since youtube's beginning's, and RLM simply came up with their own unique way of doing it.. and while showing off their filmmaking and (in particular) editing prowess as well. I like HISHE quite a bit, but even at four minutes, many of the shorts seem a bit long and many seemed forced. My opinion.

Sure, there are things that RLM has done I don't care for either . The Revenge of Nadine is easily their worst thing.. as it gives into a sense of self-appreciation for their own material that I had had hoped that they would continue to have avoided. The Half-in-the-bag review of Paul was kind of dull and could have been edited severely, and this is surprising for a group that I consider to be great editors. I guess everyone has their bad days.

"70 minutes" + "semi-coherent" + "nerdrage" automatically = "RLM"? :vulcan: :D

I saw a trailer for that movie ("Paul") once, and decided I'd rather amputate my testicles than see it.

Awesome! I hope they're going to take their time with this one. The Wolverine in 2013 followed by First Class II in 2014 sounds pretty good to me. :techman:

Great news about the sequel. I was reasonably sure we'd get some sort of follow-up but was beginning to worry that it wouldn't be (a) a sequel to FC or (b) period-set. So delighted those worries were for nowt!

I'm hopeful for the sequel!

Now we just have to worry about the third movie curse.

I hope Daniel Craig(Layer Cake) gets role

Awesome. I just wish we didn't have to wait so long, but I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it.

It's only next summer.

Also the movie is on the same fast track as "First Class"

McAvoy was cast around May 27th 2010

The movie was released in June 2011.

I strongly remember the worry about only having a year or so to prepare a movie.

I don't think Fox would release two X-movies in the same year, unless one was during the summer and the other during the winter.
