Its also not in the best shape.Which silly circumstances? In TSFS as well as GEN a bunch of Klingon renegades with old BoPs are responsible for the destruction of the ship. The destruction of the original Enterprise is only better because Kirk sacrifices her.
The destruction of the Enterprise was because Kruge knocked out the automation system with a lucky shot. Kirk didn't have the manpower aboard to control her without the automation system. He had five people trying to control a vessel normally crewed by 400.
The destruction of the Enterprise was for cinematic impact and it was spectacular. The producers didn't hear the screaming of hundreds thousands of Trek fans dying inside.
Just watched the crash. It was awesome.
Which kind of sums up the entire movie, IMHO.It looked horribly amateurish, and even worse with time.
Kirk's Enterprise was a beloved ship. As much a member of the cast as any member of the crew.
The Enterprise-D was a beloved ship. As much a member of the cast as any member of the crew.
The Enterprise-E always felt to me like 'just another ship'. And that, IMHO, hurts the latter TNG films.
does the Ent-A being in TFF and TUC hurt those films?(leaving aside whatever unrelated issues you may have about TFF)
No, I definitely don't think it is being compared unfairly. I think it is a GOOD film, but sometimes people say it is "bad" because it does not measure up to most of the others. It can still be a "good" film, and be one of the "worst" in the franchise at the same time.^It doesn't make sense NOT to compare GEN to the other films in the franchise.
Now, if you are saying it is compared to the other films unfairly, Par, I would like to hear your reasons why you think that.
No, because it was the same ship with a letter painted on it. Otherwise, it was still "our" Enterprise.does the Ent-A being in TFF and TUC hurt those films?(leaving aside whatever unrelated issues you may have about TFF)
