Why would they have to be named for objects in space? Seagoing ships aren't all named for objects in the ocean. And Earth history becomes Federation history on the UFP is established as does Andorian, Vulcan and Tellerite history. Names from all histories will probably be used for names.Constellation, because it actually has something to do with space, which is appropriate for a space ship...
And because any Earth-centric name like a WWII ship or Civil War battle, etc, would be utterly meaningless to any alien UFP members, and thusly is ridiculous to use as a starship's name. Also, none of the other names have anything remotely to do with space.
