Earth jumps the shark?

I volunteer to go through a black hole into the past and disrupt the timeline.

I'd tell you what happens next season, but then that'd be a spoiler. All that I can say is, I heard rumours saying that it would end with a bang. ;)

I think it's time for a spinoff.

They've been hyping that Kepler 22B idea that's been floating around, but the concept doesn't look too appealing. They haven't even started on character designs, it's just the basic setting. And to be honest even that looks like a half-assed job.

They're going to cancel Earth in 2012?

We've got to start a "Save Earth" mail-in campaign! Fans have sent Veridian Dynamics keychains to try to save Better Off Ted, peanuts to save Jericho, and Nerds candy to save Chuck.

We need something to send to the network. I think I've got the perfect thing to send in to remind them there's still life in Earth, yet!

Failing that, maybe Netflix or another distributor will work?

I hear a major focus of the 2012 season will be about a US Presidential election. Except it won't be a very interesting or exciting contest--I mean one of the candidates is just clearly nuts. The only way they sell that is if the lunatic wins, and I'm not sure how that can be written plausibly.

They'll use the Florida Deus Ex Machina again.

It'll be cancelled in 2012. Or so I'm told.

I think the network will announce that it's "on the bubble" and pull some sweeps stunts that'll bump up the ratings and it'll be renewed... at least for another year.

That will get written as "First Female President" and become a four season arc where everyone dies midway through season 3.

I'm sure I saw that on another show...

I hate when that happens. That's just sloppy writing.

Is this political arc supposed to be a comedy? Cause i gotta tell you, it's downright hilarious. And i don't know if i should be laughing. Perhaps i should write a letter to the producer.

I dunno about you, but I'm not sure where this show is going.

The writers seem to be on a purge of main characters.

A few years ago they wrote out Saddam, then this year they've written about Bin Laden after a ten season arc. The arc started strong, went quiet, then they just ended that abruptly.

They had the short Libya arc then wrote out Gaddafi too.

Just when we wondered what they'd do next season, they wrote out Kim Jong-il.

I dunno.. I felt the writers had a road map, but after 2011 seasons I wonder if they have jumped the shark. What will they do in season 2012?

Rumor has it the show is over next December, so I imagine they are going to be wrapping up more stories and throw a few curves at us.

The biggest curve I would have guessed is Bachman wins presidency. But that isn't going to happen anymore.

I really hope they don't try something like that again. That led to a deeply unpopular storyline, and while most of the characters involved in it have since been written out, the show's still suffering from it eleven seasons later.
