I doubt that. I am guessing more of a day for month thing. July will get in tuesday, August on wednesday, September on thursday...

But in reality it will be all about load balancing. They'll let groups in as they monitor the server loads.

Ah, of course. Not knowing how to use the word "millennium" in its singular and plural forms. So last millennium. :p

If you get in on Tuesday. :p

On a somewhat more serious note, I'm torn:

Do I recreate my ridiculously hot green female jedi knight that I had for the weekend test? If I do, my only romance option'll be the male "Doc" IIRC.

Or do I instead roll a male Jedi knight and romance the ridiculously spunky and not that bad looking Kira Carsen, who is easily one of my favorite characters in the game so far?

Decisions decisions. Too bad they didn't offer the "gay option" so I could have hot green chick on Kira action. ^_^

^You should have seen the forum wars about not having the "gay option" in the game.

They've already confirmed same-sex relationships to be implemented "soon" after launch. Of course soon could mean January or next fall. In either case, you can wait. :)

If Reid's word is still wroth anything (and that's doubtful), I willget in on Tuesday. The time is the only issue.

I didn't encounter any romance options when I tested... how does that work?

If you get enough "affection points" with certain of your companions, romance dialog and actions become available. I didn't encounter it either, but the devs swear it's there.

Where did you see something from Reid regarding when you'll get in?

He said something in an interview to the effect (paraphrasing) "Those who ordered within the first two weeks will get in on the first day." It was a while ago though. Like during the big beta weekend. There was a thread on the forums about it.

Of course that was when head start was only five days.

I would be really surprised if you don't.

If you read between the lines of some of the things Bioware people had said and a lot of insiders' assumptions/speculations, then I think most have concluded that anyone who ordered before the end of October should get in Wednesday night at the latest.

A few blogs and such I read by various people said they'll probably allow ~150k hourly or bi-hourly through Wednesday. Then everyone else gets in on Thursday.

Though I think it was a mistake for them to not reopen the forums and announce the schedule sometime this evening. I think it would have inevitably made things run smoother. I suspect there's going to be a lot of bumps in the road tomorrow.

^They won't release a schedule. If they have to modify it due to server load problems they would get too much bitching about "why wasn't I let in on time?".

Considering the current whining on their forums now that they have reopened - to the point where their website is going down from the complaints traffic - releasing a schedule would have made the situation even worse. These are the same forum users who complained endlessly when the last Beta weekend was up 20 minutes late in some regions, so a schedule that suffered the inevitable delays from a software launch would have prompted nothing but nerdrage.

As for myself, given i pre-ordered about a week ago, i estimate my own early access will begin about 12 minutes before TOR's release on the 20th.

Can't wait though,i want to finish the frankly excellent Imperial Agent storyline.

I won't probably get in till friday afternoon and am fine but if you look at the TOR forums you would think the world was ending, FFS get a grip people

I DON'T HAVE MY ACCESS BIOWARE FAILS FOREVER!

In other news, I'm politely waiting, not expecting to get in mostly because I didn't preorder until maybe three weeks ago. :shifty:

Actually the way EGA came about works pretty well for me. I would like to know before the actually go time, but I took Thursday and Friday off this week (had some time to burn), so I don't have to worry if I will get in by then with an 8 August pre-order unless some spectacular happens.

I'm hoping that it will be tomorrow so that I can play until 4AM, but I can deal.
