Yup, it does. I've been there. But even witnessing something like that, as you did, can be traumatic.

My statement to the cops was pretty useless. I saw the guy briefly as he spirited past me, so all I could offer was the direction the guy fled in when the cops arrived 20 + minutes later, so the guy was long gone.

Where do you live that it takes the cops 20+ minutes to respond to an armed robbery? Kudos to you for sticking around to talk to them.

I was the victim of an robbery years ago when I worked graveyard shift at an adult video store. A woman waved a dirty needle in my face, the tip actually brushed my cheek. I was definitely shaken up.

A lot of places, actually. I've heard of the cops showing up two hours later.

Yep. I had to call the police once due to being threatened by a drunk guy with what may have been a knife, when working in a convenience store, and it took the police 45 minutes to arrive, so it's not uncommon I don't think.
