My Little Pony web invasion?

I'd honestly hate to see the MLP fandom become like the Trek fandom, fractured into so many hardline groups. The Bronies are one unified group, there aren't really any things to argue over since we all love the Ponies and the show, just depends on how long it airs and makes money. Which looking at it so far, is going to carry it into '13/'14 anyway. :D

All fandoms either die young or live long enough to see themselves collapse into anarchy. It's inevitable.

Not really, besides Bronies are MLP Generation 4 fans, it leaves out the G1-3.5 so we're unconnected to the older set anyway, we're set unless theres a Generation 5 and who knows, that could be even better.

Agree with Chem. I remember some rolling, raging flame wars over Trek XI, and Nemesis before that. And anybody who's seen the official Minecraft forum knows what a horrible, broken mess that is. I hope such a thing doesn't come to pass for bronies.

Agreed. The foundation for the series is the elements of harmony, and friendship. I'd like it to remain that way among the fans.

yes just you wait until one of the Ponys is killed off, two of them get together, or Pony land becomes resident to a group of sea horses, we will soon see Bronys start to fracture.

Meanwhile when they get around to making a live action My Little Pony movie, which does for Ponys what the Transformers did for Ponies, we will soon see canon debates as to if the movie counts or not.

Pony fandom like all fandoms will split given the proper conditions.

Pony land becomes resident to a group of sea horses.

"Equestria" and the Seaponies already live in the ocean to the east of Ponyville. Being landlocked for miles in every direction would kind of make a take over difficult for waterbreathers.

these are magical seahorses, they can breath in both air and water, after all if you can have talking, primary coloured Ponies, why not seahorses who can live both in and out of water.

That or an invasion of the mermaids.

The Seaponies are from way back in Generation 3 and not in the new show, not saying they don't exist in it, just haven't seen them, they just sing and play a lot, they have little flippers and a tail so moving on land would mean flopping about until they suffocated.

Mermaids, well the Seaponies technically 'are' the Pony equivalent I suppose, having the upper body of the dominant species, in this case Ponies. No sapian life forms live in Equestria.

your assuming alot of knowledge on my part, which I dont have. I dont even know what Generation 3 Ponys are.

Im just hoping they never make an actual Trek/Pony crossover, then I might have to watch it.

I know, the Seaponies are a grey area even for the fans, just explaning that they're just little harmless half fish versions of the Ponies, all friendly like.

That could still happen, the production staff are big scifi fans, most of them are Trekkies or Warsies, you never know what could crop up next. :D

slightly off topic, but is that really what Star Wars fans are called? I thought they were all Jedis?

True but its difficult to give a good fan name to them other than Jedi, but as has been mentioned, not all of the fans agree with the Jedi, though most BrownCoats don't mind being named after the Firefly resistance movement.

well im guessing more Firefly fans are on the side of the Browncoats, as Firefly never had a big name villain like Darth Vader.
