How much money would you make if you invented gaydar?

I think you could make millions. Not only would gays buy it in their effort to find suitable mates but bigots would buy it to stay away from them. If this was invented do you thjink it should be free like the internet or should corporations be allowed to exploit it for profit?

I think everyone should have to wear signs around their neck that states their sexual orientation and their relationship status. It would make dating so much easier!

What does this detector look like? Is it a big radome attached to your forehead that goes "ping" or is it a more convenient handheld device? Does it short circuit if you accidentally point it at a bisexual?

If loose women have to wear an "I'm easy" button, then most guys around here would, in all fairness, have to wear an "I'm a horny and desperate virgin" badge.

I would settle for a 'Puts Out After Three Dinner Dates' badge. I myself would wear a 'Three Glasses of Wine and You get Whatever You Want, Ladies' badge.

I think gay people are pretty good at recognising each other without such a device. I guess the market would be mostly as you say the "bigot segment" of the population and parents "testing" their kids and stuff like that.

Depends on the cost of the research and materials involved in producing the prototype, the reaction of the public on the new device and the resulting demand, then the costs of implementing a viable mass-production system and then finding retail outlets willing to distribute such a controversial device. Add in there marketing, staff and trying to recoup all of the start-up costs I'm thinking producing such a device that pretty much isn't needed as one's sexual orientation can be gleamed by simply asking them I'd guess such a device wouldn't be a lucrative way to get rich.

Being that I have been with "straight" guys and a guy I'm dating had sex with a "straight" guy, and my best friend is known for having sex with "straight" guys, and even ones with children, maybe we should just stop thinking there is really such a thing as "sexual orientation" and just realize that you like who you like?

Sometimes a hole is just a hole. :p

Why must you tease me this way? :p

I derive a very sick pleasure from teasing gay men, knowing that I'll never let them have me. I think I have a problem.

But that's no fun. The world just doesn't work without labels to pigeonhole people with.
