Continuity glitch, flat screen TV in the house that Walter hasn't used in over 15 years?

Re: Fringe 4x06 - "And Those We've Left Behind" (Commentary, Spoilers

I don't believe Peter is in some other universe because remember back in the first episode of this season, the Observers were trying to erase all lingering traces of Peter in this universe. I still believe this is an alternation in the timeline that needs to be corrected and I like very much to know why the Observers did what they did beyond Peter's purpose being fulfilled. What they did was a bit too extreme for that.

I guess when Walter was released from the institution they put new furniture in his house. But then he wouldn't leave the lab to go home so they put sheets over everything.

Excellent episode with really good performances from real life husband and wife Stephen Root and Romy Rosemont. This episode is a very good companion piece to season 2's White Tulip.

Re: Fringe 4x06 - "And Those We've Left Behind" (Commentary, Spoilers

It was a good episode. I liked how the equation got scrubbed by the past wife and the poor guy ended up with nothing to show for his trials. In the end Peter also got nothing and the whole entering of the empty house kind of told everything in an image.

Re: Fringe 4x06 - "And Those We've Left Behind" (Commentary, Spoilers

Stephen Root, like Pyper Ferguson a few weeks ago, made this an abover average episode. I think. I fell asleep for part of the episode, which caused no problems at all and possibly improved it by getting rid of scenes with regular, as I woke back up pretty much when Root came on.

The continuing storyline with Peter neither here nor there makes no sense at all. These versions of the characters make no sense at all, even in fictional universe terms. For one thing, since when has Peter been mentally competent? Also, sorry, but the suggestion that he's going to hunt up the real timeline flatly contradicts the Observers' remarks at the last season finale.

Hey all!

Thanks Procutus for the shout out and the additional poll options. I voted "Very Good", pretty much what I expect from Fringe. Sold, entertaining story with an undercurrent of moving the mythos along. Solid acting from the guest stars and a touching story of love and devotion wrapped in Sci-fi.

This week also confirmed we're in yet another time line. Universe A (other side, Universe B) and now time line #2. Peter 2.0 is only person from time line #1. Getting confusing, but I think that's right. I think the coming focus will be to get Peter2.0 back to time line #1 and Olivia1.0 and Walter1.0. Too bad Broyles1.0 and 2.0 is toast in time line #1. I like the actor and character.

My DVR cut the previews for next week. Is next week the last new episode for Fall 2011? If so, that sucks. The show is hitting a good stride...

Meanwhile, what are the others in Timeline #1 doing without Peter?

Then Broyles and Olivia would have known about the place already instead of giving us the line "it seems Walter did have on campus accomodations..."

With Walter so unwilling to help Peter, how soon before going to Walternate crosses his mind?

My pleasure. Based on the suggestion by NCC1701MF, we'll try one more variation next week, for what does indeed appear to be the final ep of this year. Hopefully, this first third of the season will go out with a bang.

Re: Fringe 4x06 - "And Those We've Left Behind" (Commentary, Spoilers

Let's hope by that point, the alternate timeline storyline comes to a resolution.

^With only a cliffhanger episode left to go? Don't count on it.

Re: Fringe 4x06 - "And Those We've Left Behind" (Commentary, Spoilers

Has anyone ever used the word "continuum" without referring to "space-time"?

"The Q Continuum."
Not sure that counts. It's a space-time continuum after all.

Someone asked if anyone ever said "continuum" without referring to space time. Yes, whenever someone mentioned the "Q Continuum" in Trek. They never said "space time" when saying "Q Continuum." Don't change the rules of the question after it's answered.
