Star Trek: Enterprise episode guides?

Red

Ensign
Newbie
Hi. I wonder if anyone can tell me if there were any books that provided episode guides for the Enterprise series, along the lines of the Companion books that were published for TNG etc.

I'm about to start watching ENT for the first time and would like something to read alongside.

Thanks for any suggestions :techman:

I saw an unoffical guide once that covered every series and movie, up until the end of Enterprise's second season. In tiny writing. I can't remember what it was called.

I don't think there was anything official, nor anything complete.

Star Trek Magazine 37 (164 in the UK) has a full episode guide for Enterprise (as well as Voyager, most of DS9 and TNG season 7). It's still on sale in the UK now... come to that, elsewhere as well!

Yeah, this would work too. If I remember correctly, one of my first message exchanges with you, Paul, was re ENT episode guides. The "Fact Files" did ENT Season 1 loose leaf sheets, and then the STM did their own ENT Season 1 liftout booklet, followed by a Season 2 liftout. I figured I'd hole-punch those and add them to my "Fact Files" folders, but then STM went in a different editorial direction and no Season 3 or 4 booklets were produced.

thanks Paul, I've got issue 164 sat on my coffee table as I type ... It's good but I was hoping for something a little more in-depth. Shame ENT never got the Companion treatment like the other spin-offs. Looks like I might have to go online to supplement my viewing!

PS Paul thanks for STM - I've become a recent subscriber after picking up the mag for the first time earlier this year- its a great format and has definitely helped me rekindle my love of all things Trek after many years in the wilderness :klingon:

Have you checked out Memory Alpha? They've got pretty thorough episode guides for each of the series, although it is a wiki so it's all just fan written. There's also the official Star Trek website, but I think that's pretty much just general descriptions without any behind the scenes or background stuff.

Is this the book with a ringed planet on the cover? Because if so I remember that one, although I can't remember the title either.

It's as indepth I think as you'll get. Paula and Terry's Star Trek 101 has episode synopses for it all.

And thanks re: the mag. As you may have seen from elsewhere on here, though, I stepped down from STM last month - my last issue will be 166 UK / 39 US.
