"James Bond 23" officially slated for 2012!

If they do it, it should be a lesser known actor and it should be played somewhat straight, much like they did for the first couple of Conner flicks.. Q had some witty lines, but they weren't the slapsticky scenes they quickly evolved into...

Agreed. The humor should be that which they've established to be the norm for the Craig era: dry, deadpan, understated--natural.

To wit, Craig's incomparable "Oh, I'm sorry. That last hand--it nearly killed me...."

Nothing over the top--nothing goofy.

Helen McRory was announced a couple of weeks back (hence my comment earlier about the MILF from Dr Who's Vampires Of Venice - that being her)

So I guess this is another example of a site repeating an old news story...unless it was just making it official.

I've seen a few sites mentioning it today as well, so it might be the case that this is the official announcent?

First official image suggests that this movie belongs in the crapper

Actually set photos were leaked a few days ago

Hence my use of the word 'official' :p

Some coy non-talk from Ralph Fiennes here (though he does indicate why he joined the cast)

Well I think he possibly had to contend with Stewart and and Spiner adding their own input, plus who knows who else was insisting on theit two pence worth. But still an awful lot of Nemesis was poor.

Let me put on my rain poncho, and say that I actually liked Nemesis a lot. Frankly, though...a LOT of the deleted scenes--including the sequence with Worf and the Romulan doctor near the end--would have made it a lot better...and I think more palatable to the angry fans.

It wasn't Logan's writing. It was Stuart Baird--a NON-fan, who cut a lot of great stuff that normally would be must-haves for Trek--being the director.

Also...didn't John Logan write Gladiator? That one wasn't too bad, was it?
