How Did The Enterprise Get Into Space ????

X-MEN and STAR TREK.

The worst combo since Jar Jar Binks and screen time.

For a more serious answer;

The answer is obvious. They would have to have used anti-gravity technology.

And thus didn't really need to be explained.

But it would have made for an awesome scene in the movie to see it lift up into the atmosphere and leave earth orbit. That was a wasted opportunity.

With Pike in command, of course. Which would truly establish him as being the Enterprise's first captain.

If I remember correctly, an early draft of the script actually was going to show it. JJ originally planned for more than just the Spock cross over. Being the Star Wars fan he is, JJ got Lucas on board to have a Yoda cameo where he uses the Force to levitate it up into the atmosphere. Both JJ and Lucas thought it would be the coolest thing ever to bring the two franchises finally together. But the whole thing blew up when the studio refused to give Lucas 100% of the mechandising rights for the movie. Oh what could have been.

Or not. ;)

If TREK XII doesn't have a Death Star and/or the Batmobile I'll be in front of my local cineplex with a protest sign.

With Nick Nolte as Batman...

(sees the Batsignal) "Awwwwww, hell...(*snort*) son of a bitch...jeeeeez....(*sighs*)

Robin, call the damned cops...I'm too tired to go out tonight..."

(*lights cigarette*)
