I just looked up the word badgasm and it means about exactly the opposite of what I thought it did.
I've been at this for a couple hours now.
"The Jewel of Techacal"
Surprisingly no origin, Rocket escaping krypton and all, nada, although, a couple episodes down the track we seem Lana and TJ meet Superboy for the first time, but my goodness, Lex Luthor is preppie scum! The score, opening theme is vile. How can they make guitars excrete that abominable noise and not expect an open invitation to hell? Although this episode is really a "lana origin" which is really needed since most casuals will be asking "Where's Lois"?
Awful.
However there was an intimate moment after the dust settled where Clark and Lana were talking ll doe eyed, and 'coo" they seemed so "sweet" together, like they didn't have a doomed future ahead of them.
"A Kind of Princess"
Kirk Cameron's girlfriend Julie McCullough as Colonel Flagg from M*A*S*H*'s mob daughter princess. By the numbers. Pretty girl turns up. Vanishes before the credits, so that there's bottled continuity. I still might have her Playboy around the house somewhere... (I know exactly where it is.).
"Back to Oblivion"
Abe Vigoda. Sweet jesus this guy is the walking dead. Killer junk yard. Weak sauce. They tried to get topical Said the kids at college got scared straight and stopped doing crack for a WHOLE week after some stunt made them see reason. Or was it cocaine? The opening theme is like they mashed the movie with Miami Vice, and I can't just understand what Superboy has to do with a arial view of a 'bridge"? yes, it's his line of sight as he flies, but really? Really?
Oh, Stacy is running around in a bikini a lot in this one.
"The Russian Exchange Student"
Fuck me it's Boothby! Ray Walston playing a crotchety old man harping on about cold war racial profiling... It's a 20 minute show, so it's not like there was anything for him to work with but at least Ray got to eat a steak dinner that night.
"Countdown to Nowhere"
This here seems to be the first episode. even though it's airing as the 5th. Doubly even though Clark and Lana are already friends at College, but Superboy gives his 'truth justice and the American way Speech" with his cape all billowing while a spce Shuttle launches in the background... So much cheese it's bad for my colestoral.
"Bringing Down the House"
Who the fuck is Lief Garret and why hasn't anyone stopped him being famous? Is it me or is Lana a shit magnet? Seriously? This guy says "I collect comics why don't you come and read them at my house" and they follow him, sure he's a famous musician, but he's also a criminal blowing up baseball games with exploding balls. Just ridiculous.
This kid they got playing Superboy sure mumbles a lot. He makes Toby McGuire sound down right elegant. And the suit is a lighter shade of powder blue than I'm used to and... Gosh I bitch.
Shhh... The next ones starting.
