Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

This game is definitely farther down on my list than MW3 and Arkham City (which I still haven't gotten), so I guess I'll wait until it's $40 or less on Amazon. The storyline and graphics are great and all, it's just the actual game elements are too simplistic.

Amazon had been good about giving you 10 to 20 back for pre-ordering console games but it seems those deals have dried up. I mean MW3's deal is you get a 10 dollar credit towards the purchase of MW3 headphones. Ugh.

As for the various DLC... it's getting pretty annoying. Just think in 20 years when you want to pop in your Akrham City, and you go to install your Catwoman content only to see that the download servers are long gone. These bundled download codes with new copies are just consumer-hating greed.

I'm wicked excited for this game, but Arkham City is taking me a lot longer than I thought it would. I've beaten the story, but there's still so much left to do! I don't know if I'm going to be ready for Uncharted 3 on Tuesday!

If i must sit here typing in serial keys and require a internet to access single player features of games

You don't have to enter any code in for single player features EXCEPT for the DLC which always has been an extra deal anyway. I buy a LOT of console games and I've not yet been forced to enter any code unless I wanted the DLC content OR play online. And for the most part, the DLC content is worthless to me.

I don't understand your point, but I respect your right to have it, and if you're okay with missing out on exclusive consoles games, then it's none of my business.

It's all good.

Oh believe you me i was looking forward to it, but when i saw it was another console game that had this one time code pass that was it.

Still these one time code pass console games that are now becoming the norm have one good effect....my wallet loves having money in it.:techman:

I guess I'm still confused. You weren't planning to play it with internet anyway. What do you think you're missing out on?

Its simple.....I pay £40 for a console game so i expect said game to be totally accessable 100% without any need to input codes, after all this is a console not a PC were talking about....... and it does not matter if the code allows online features, or like Batman AV single player features, or Rage with its locked single player areas until you enter the code...........my point being why should i, the first time buying have to enter any code on a games console to access all the content on a game disc i just payed £40 for.

I am not responsible for the second hand market, yet game devs and publisher seem to think that i should, as a first time buyer, be the one who has to jump through this little one time code hoop.....i feel otherwise, its DRM forced onto me, the first time buyer buy the game devs and publisher....and they also want me to pay £40 for that privilage.

I say no thank you and dont support games that have it, and the world keep's turning.........but if your happy with the situation thats your more power to you.;)

Never mind 20 years, EA seems to think 2 years is enough.......Tiger woods 2010 on the 360/PS3/wii has been closed down with many other games on the consoles....So basically that £40 game you bought has a life span of just 2 years before it loses support and features from everybody.....Nice.

Well I got my copy today. Of course I left work early and I took tomorrow off. :D I just started chapter six and so far it's awesome. :D I especially loved chapters 2 and 3.

I've played 2, but not 1 so I will probably double back and go through that before I start 3.

I played the Subway demo nonstop until I hit the level cap. Multiplayer-wise, they've made it so that you can run and gun... which is both fun and frustrating at times. I just hope the single player campaign doesn't have the same ending as UC2... yuck.

What was wrong with the ending? It was just about perfect.

Gerk. The last boss fight was probably the worst experience I've ever had in gaming that year.

I thought the boss was rather easy. It was just a matter of figuring out how it all worked.
I beat the game on Crushing. In the end, I used the glitchy AI and beat it that way, since I was tired of running away from a guy who threw 3-5 grenades at you in a tight confined space... not to mention the weird mechanic that forced you to attack only at certain times.

Man, the fact that I still remember it is a testament to how much it annoyed me.

I too hated the boss in U2. Still, U3 is officially my most anticipated game of the year. Can. Not. Wait.

Ordered my copy (Shop To) midnight saturday before I went to bed and woke up this morning to find it processed and shipped with a picture of my package in my e-mail too ;).

Love shop to and so cannot wait to get my hands on UC3. Good chance it will arrive with late post tommorow if the Royal Mail feel generous

Crushing playthrough completed... definitely easier than U1 and U2. There were only two parts that I thought were hard.

I'm not a big gamer, but I LOVED Uncharted 1 and 2. My favorite games ever. Looking forward to this!

The thing I love most about the Uncharted Games is that they're challenging, but they're not impossibly difficult. The controls are easy to figure out, and the characters are a blast! This would really be an awesome movie series. It could be this generation's Indiana Jones!

Got my copy today and enjoying it so far just reached chapter 6. Looks similar to UC2 though engine not had a chance to show off any exotic locations yet. Characters are as funny as ever, I do love the banter in the game. The game starts of slower than UC1 or 2 but I don't mind that personally because I know its going to ramp up as I get more into the game and sometimes I actually felt UC2 was trying to do too much. The gunplay feels a little off at times though been restricted to what weapons I could of used so far. The aiming can still be a little fidgety and I think its not as smooth as UC2 with aiming. They also need to tweak the power of some of the weapons IMO but I do really like the new combat system though I would like to see a little more variety in the attacks.

So far I feel UC2 is the better game (just) but its still a very good game and I hear its amazing in the 2nd half of the story. I also look forward to trying co-op but not overly fussed with standard multiplayer as in UC2 the game engine was too clunky for versus modes and very unbalanbced at times.
