The next Big Bad?

Hmmmmm.

Star Trek. com has posted part 2 of their interview with Michael A. Martin, where he talks about the next Titan novel and divulges this little tid-bit....

Meanwhile, a new menace that is simultaneously brand new and utterly familiar will begin wreaking havoc across the galaxy.

The next big bad...? ;)

Pass. Enough with the BIG bad guys. That, combined with it being Martin has pretty much killed any chance of me picking it up.

Honestly, it's beginning to feel like the comics jumping from one big sweeping story to another. I don't need the threat level turned up to 11 all the time.

Agreed.

I would think that the S.C.E. stories were a PRIME example of how the Star Trek Line should be moving forward.

Wildfire/Destiny events are cool, but we don't need them every few books or so.

Star Trek has always been about the characters to me and to a lesser extent the alien racial characterizations.

Ferengi are all greedy... yet then you have Rom, Nog, & Pharh, and CPO Bralik.

Playing against type and expectation is always rewarding.
