I mean, it's the 24th century, so you just know that the poor little teddy has some kind of artificial intelligence chip, and the poor thing probably spends its last few seconds saying, "Any second now, little Sally will rescue me, because she loves me and she'd never leave me behind..."

Yeah. That was one of the saddest moments of any Trek episode ever.

The Siskos were one of the most believable families I've seen on Trek. Reportedly Cirroc Lofton even used to visit the Brooks family to hang out with them, so he and Avery could develop a rapport. If that's true, it definitely showed.

Sisko/Jake is much like my son and myself. I hug him lots and even sneak a forehead kiss...same age as Cirroc was when he started DS9.
