A+! Very fun ep. I was hoping for more Derpy...Luna was great and all the craziness of Pinkie Pie & Shadow Dash.

Well, she's royalty.

Man, that was awesome. Not only did we get Luna but also Zecora! I loved the creativity that went into all the costumes of the background ponies, too. My favourites were Ninja pony and the seaman getting eaten by a shark.
Pinkie Pie's chicken costume and behaviour was great fun, so was Dash's Shadowbolt routine. And I loved how she was pranked back by Luna at the end.
The story was great, too. I really felt with Luna, who was also great fun to watch with her Canterlot royal voice and manner of speaking. I think this is one of my favourite episodes of the show.

Yeah. It's really easy to see where the Nightmare Moon thing came from. Entitled, impatient and swift to anger. Sorry, Adorkable Luna and New Lunar Republic fans. They just torpedoed so many fanfics.

That said: Meh. I wasn't blown away. This kind of felt like the inverse of last week: whereas Lesson Zero was some shaky ideas executed amazingly, this was a lot of really great ideas presented kind of blandly. And no Rarity? You're dead to me, MLP! C+, a perfectly serviceable but unremarkable MLP episode.

It's a great start for Luna as a character, though – if she shows up again. I really hope she does. There's some good seeds of future development here, but 22 minutes was just not enough time to to much with her.

Loved almost all of it. Shakespeare/Galadriel Luna, Chicken Pie, Shadow Dash, Bag Lady Derpy. Pip can die in a fire though, and the lack of Rarity was a downer.

We read too much into the storyboard leak, apparently. Too bad. I wanted to see Rarity, Mistress of the Dark.

I forgot to mention, everything Chicken Pinkie Pie did was gold. More of her, please!

Really? All I noticed was that thy swapped Rarity out for Carrot Top in the real shot.

It was okay, but not great. I loved Pinkie being in-character as a chicken.

I missed the ninja pony, but I loved the shark costume. With the knit cap, that was definitely a nod to Quint (Robert Shaw's character from Jaws).

I loved the Roadrunner homage, in the way that Chicken Pie pecked up all of Twi's candy and bolted out of the scene.

Shadow Dash perfectly done.

Loved Princess Luna in her regard of royalty. We have to cut her some slack because it has been a thousand years and things have changed; to wit, Princess Luna royal voice totally kickass.

Loved the episode, hope to see more of Luna, and I love the more mature Luna design. A+

Awesome episode, I don't really care for Rarity so her absense was fine with me, Dash scaring the locals with her thunder bolts was great. Chicken Pie, the slaptsick with Fluttershy, Derpy!, cute little Pip the only colt filly we've seen for ages and Sparkle the Wizard were all hilarious, loved every moment. I tended to think Luna was kind of bitchy and my fanfic would have had her behave this way, so it was nice to see it confirmed but ultimately I knew she'd grow and mature, we've seen the start of that and I really hope they bring her back for more episodes soon.
