Will "The Phantom Menace 3D" bomb?

Did you miss the part where Luke repels up an AT-AT, cuts it open, and tosses a bomb in?
Yea, I just caught this scene flipping channels the other day, and was severely confused by all this talk of him not taking any out? Is this a "special Edition" addition that some fans don't acknowledge or something? (IE: Han shot first, no wait Greedo shot first, no wait they shot at the same time)

Erm, no, this has been part of the movie since the dawn of men.

Some updates on this: The trailer will be attached to Three Musketeers, and the poster has been released:

Looks like something that could be done by anyone, really. Interesting to note how they're pushing Darth Maul and the Pod Race as well as CG Yoda, with Jar-Jar nowhere in site.

It reminds me of that episode of "Friends" where Joey's SAG Health Insurance has lapsed so he scrambles to get a gig so he can have a hernia fixed and he does his auditions with his hand holding the hernia into his gut.

Maybe something similar happened here?

Ha ha, just as I thought. All the emphasis is being put on Darth Maul, the Podrace, and the lightsaber battles, and none on the boring crap that actually makes up the vast majority of the movie.

Butt pushed back, stomach pushed forward, one hand on stomach, and the other hand holding the Light Saber extremely awkwardly

His hand isn't on his stomach but held out in front in a karate pose. They definitely could have made that clearer though.

OK, fair enough, but, look at how awkwardly his arm is twisted holding the Light Saber, one good knock on the Light Saber, from the right direction, and you break his arm

Of course they are going to highlight the elements of the film that remained popular. Plus, since this is going to be in 3D, they probably also want to remind people what will likely look cool in 3D, namely the podrace.

I wonder if someone will sue after seeing it?

That looks bad. Almost like a fan made poster.

All I'm saying is you could probably select any character or moment from the OT, put it on a poster or trailer, and not worry about scaring people off.

It's clear they realize they have to be a lot more careful with this movie.

Don't claim clairvoyance for predicting that the 3D release would focus on the elements that will look the coolest in 3D. Doing so is massively tragic.

If I had money (and influence, and the ability to work at LucasFilm, and...), I'd love to put that to a test.

Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru (with Luke complaining about power converters) on the ANH poster!
Leia giving Luke that BIG kiss on the TESB poster!
Ewoks and the "Jedi Rocks" band on the RotJ poster!

It's clear they realize they have to be a lot more careful with this movie.

Haha, I think you're overinterpreting this.

Yep.

And yep.

Also, one thing to realize is that this is STAR WARS. Good or bad, it sells itself.
