Smallest casts in movies

My best friend was telling me about a movie she has just watched called The Disappearance of Alice Creed which only had three people in its cast. We then tried to think of other movies that had three or less people in their cast but weren't able to think of any. Every movie which we thought might qualify (Sleuth, The Old Man and the Sea, Dead Calm) did actually have some additional small roles in them.

I woild be interested to see what movies people can come up with.

I have axtually been think about Sleuth since my OP. My friend told me there were other cast members but If I remember correctly, I think that the original Sleuth was only two actors (Caine and Oliver) but the credits had them under different names so the plot wasn't given away and I don't think the wife actually had a screen appearance.

I would have said Sleuth (1972), which I think only had two (Michael Caine and Lawrence Olivier), but a further four were credited to avoid spoiling the plot. I'm sure there must be lots of art-house movies with just a single cast member.

It's been a long time since I've seen that, but didn't they visit a convenience store or restaurant or something at the beginning of the movie?

Edit - Yep, IMDB shows seven other people credited, besides the trio, include a waitress.

My Dinner With Andre: The two leads, Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory, with no one else but a waiter and a bartender. No only is it a small cast, but it's mostly the same tight shot of the two men sitting together at dinner.

eta: Robert Altman's Secret Honor is a one-man film, based on the play: The great Philip Baker Hall gives a solo performance as Nixon.

One person ... wow. I hadn't heard of that one.

I don't know if it would qualify as a movie, as it's a short, but ... Shane Acker's movie "9". It's an 11 minute animated short with no cast. It was later remade with Martin Landau, Tom Kane, and others as ragdolls.

Moon lists a cast of 10, though for %95 of the movie it's just Rockwell and Spacey.

And really, its just Spacey's voice, and, aside from two video calls & flashbacks, Sam Rockwell is the only one seen onscreen.

I'd say Same Time Next Year. IMDB says it has a cast of seven, but only three of the characters get names, while the others are Waiter #1, Waiter #2, Pilot #1 & Pilot #2. And the majority of the movie is Alan Alda & Ellen Burstyn in a room together.

This is good. I have quite a list of movies to name to my friend. and sone of these movies sound interesting (Buried, Closet Land) so I might end up watching them.
