Who else wished that Paramount would've proposed a Voyager movie?

So it seemed after TNG hit the TV screens in 1984, it became the most popular of the other Trek series, and therefore, at least after "All Good Things..." it was the only series getting movies. I really like how Star Trek Generations took place after the TNG finale.

I wished VOY had a movie that took place after "Endgame". Here's probably how I would do it:

First the cast:
Kate Mulgrew as Admiral Katherine Janeway
Robert Beltran as Commander Chakotay
Tim Russ as Lt. Comm. Tuvok
Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine
Garrett Wang as Ensign Harry Kim
Rober Picardo as The Doctor
Robert Duncan McNeill as Lt. Tom Paris
Roxann Dawson as Lt. B'Elanna Torres
Ethan Phillips as Neelix
Alice Krige as the Borg Queen
Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard
Brent Spiner as B-4
Marina Sirtis as Commander Deanna Troi
Dwight Schultz as Lt. Reginald Barclay
John De Lance as Captain Q

Timeline:
After "Endgame", of course, and after Star Trek Nemesis, so stardate 57326.9 (year 2380).

Plot? I'm not sure but something involving another Borg invasion and possibly the invasion of a particular planet and turning the people on it into Borg against their will.

How would you VOY fans have done with a VOY motion picture?

As much as I loved Voyager it had run its course. Plus, for a feature film you to be successful you have to put more people in the seats than just the core fan base and I really don't think Voyager is not well known enough outside the fan base to bring in the general audience.

A Voyager movie would be pointless, unless they had left them in the DQ at the end of the series and used a movie to do it right.

TNG was launched in 1987 not 1984.

I do not think any run of the mill Borg film would fair very well; especially in the Voyager plot line. They really had milked that cow for all the utters will give.

It would be not so much "Resistance is Futile":vulcan:

More of 'Resistance' b/c we really just don't care...

Were you wanting this to be in the Voyager Forum?

I wasn't sure whether to put this there or here. I put it here since I was talking about a VOY movie, and plus I mentioned the TNG cast and characters but if you feel necessary and if you want to you may move this to the Voyager forum.
Well, you understand that here we're primarily focused upon the 2009 movie and upon projects current and future which are set in the same "Abramsverse" alternate reality.

While it is true that some TNG characters did make brief appearances in the first issue of one of the tie-in comics, TNG and VOY really fall outside the scope of this forum. Discussion of a hypothetical Voyager movie seems to me best-suited for the VOY forum (unless the mods there decide Future of Trek would be a better fit. I think that's less likely, though.)

As a Voyager fan, I'd get a kick out of a reuinion TV movie, where they go on one last adventure together, but I'm far far far happier with the big budget nuTOS movie we got.

You want a continuation of Voyager? Read the novels, where....
Janeway was killed by the Borg and Voyager's back exploring the Delta Quadrant using a quantum slipstream drive.

don't know how Ethan Philips would participate in the film considering that Neelix decided to stay in the Delta Quadrant on the Talaxian asteroid colony.

Katherine Janeway should have been promoted to Rear Admiral (Lower Half) rather than Admiral as she was shown in Star Trek: Nemesis.

And what of the crew of U.S.S. Voyager? Is poor Harry Kim going to remain an Ensign after seven years? He probably should be promoted to Lieutenant at the very least. The rest of the cast should move up at least one level in rank. The Maquis crew members should receive Starfleet commissions.

Kate Mulgrew as Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Katherine Janeway
Robert Beltran as Captain Chakotay
Tim Russ as Commander Tuvok
Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine
Garrett Wang as Lieutenant Harry Kim
Rober Picardo as The Doctor
Robert Duncan McNeill as Lieutenant Commander Tom Paris
Roxann Dawson as Lieutenant Commander B'Elanna Torres
Nancy Hower as Lieutenant Samantha Wildman
? as Miral Paris
Richard Herd as Admiral Owen Paris

Okay, haven't had a response from the OP and this thread is now wandering to other subjects than an idea for a VOY movie (none of them, however, fitting in the Abramsverse.) For this reason, rather than sending it to the Voyager forum, I think I'll opt to close this and suggest to the OP that she repost the topic (perhaps also tightening up the premise) in VOY or Future of Trek.
