OK I'm going to try to do this regularly as a public service and reminder to myself as well. I'm going to post TCM's schedule for genre movies as far ahead as I can get it... since I'm starting with October there are a lot of horror flicks in this first installment.

Enjoy!

Some really cool stuff. House of Wax, Two thumbs up, and I mourn the loss of my copy of "Mystery of the Wax Museum" color "restoration", One of Fay Wray's favorite parts, If I Remember Correctly.

Cat People, Nosferatu, Phantom of the Opera, Time Machine, Freaks, there's something just about every night

I'm mostly interested in seeing/recording 10/05 and 10/22, I think, though I'm also interested in I Walked With A Zombie. Most of the rest of it, I have, and am already planning on watching, or not interested in watching again.

thanks for posting. a few of these i've never seen before, like 'Freaks'.

I looooove "Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". German Expressionism is awesome, and the ending even surprised me.

I don't think I've ever actually watched "Frankenstein". Oh, I've seen so many clips, in so many places, of so many parts of the film, that I'm wondering if I haven't seen the entire movie....just out of sequence and over the course of years. :)

Nice schedule. I have most of these on DVD, but there's a few I don't, especially later in the month. I'm not sure I've even heard of Gamma People or Wild, Wild Planet.

Yes it was Bixby, and those three from 10/5 are all selected by guest programmer John Carpenter!

Sweet. I haven't seen Freaks since I was a kid. The only thing I remember about it is the chant "One of us! One of us!" ... I think I'll have to tune in for that one (at least).

Oooh,

10/24
Carnival of Souls - excellent movie, I have a cheap dollar DVD version, may burn this one onto DVD from the Broadcast if it's better quality.
Dementia13 - I've started this 2 or 3 times, never got anywhere with it (Don't know if it was a bad time to watch it, or if it didn't interest me?)

10/25
The first two are awesome, I have DVDs of both (Though I believe Strait Jacket is TV Recorded onto DVD). Joan Crawford actually has two Strait-Jacket titled (or closely titled) Movies, doesn't she? Or are there two similarly titled movies, but only one has her and they are different?

Don't know the others from 10/25

The Pit And The Pendulum and The Masque Of The Red Death are Vincent Price versions of Poe stories.

Carnival of Souls is great. I've got it on DVD, though. I've got Dementia 13, too, although it's pretty poor quality-- but I'm pretty sure it was filmed that way. :rommie:

Carnival of Souls is very good IMO. Dementia 13...its a lot of fun, but its an odd film. they're both odd, weird films really.

The Pit And The Pendulum and The Masque Of The Red Death are Vincent Price versions of Poe stories.

And the script for The Pit and the Pendulum was written by Richard Matheson, author of I Am Legend, The Incredible Shrinking Man, What Dreams May Come, etc.

doh! i forgot all about watching Freaks. gonna try and watch It! The Terror From Beyond Space later tonight though.
