Why did the Packers all run to the other side during the supposed punt return TD, don't the players actually look where the ball's going before running around on the field? Although, even the cameraman was confused. Looked very strange.

Hester was deep as the return man, and given that his performance on special teams has been one of the Bears' few legitimate weapons over the last several years, it was pretty understandable that everyone would be gunning for him. After the kick, he (in a rare display of intelligence) started setting up to field the punt, which caused the coverage team to converge upon him, despite the ball angling towards the corner where Knox grabbed it in one of the most beautiful catches I've ever seen.
23 total hits, including sacks, over the two games.
Guess Lovie didn't have a conversation with Martz to adjust his playcalling like all of the Chicago sports media were urging him to do after the Saints loss.
Martz has pretty much proven he's a one-hit wonder who succeeded only because he had HOF caliber players in St. Louis. Fire the guy yesterday--he's shown he's too stubborn to alter his playbook to fit the Bears and will keep running schemes that don't work at all with the current personnel.

Hm? No, it was absolutely a trick play. The Bears figured that Masthay would kick a pooch punt into the left corner, so they set Hester up deep on the opposite corner, and had Knox line up as a cornerback to block Jarrett Bush; then, at the snap, Knox turned around and sprinted towards the goal line as fast as he possibly could to catch the punt while Hester was setting up to field it as the decoy.
Dave Toub, the Bears' special teams coordinator, keeps all of his trick plays in a file. Every special teams coach does.
Ah right. Anyway, it worked to perfection (minus the penalty), they fooled not only every single one of the Packers but also the tv production crew. Was very funny to see.

Pretty much, yep. I'll be the first to admit that Cutler makes some boneheaded plays, but, God, I'd be rattled in the pocket too if I had a one in four chance of getting clobbered every time Martz sent me out on a seven-step drop to die.

If I was Romo, I think I might have blasted that ball as hard as I could into the back of the center's head. Romo was getting hosed by that guy all night.
The refs fucked over the Jets in that game with the raiders. So many bad calls. Roughing the passer call so bad they had to add an intentional grounding penalty to cancel it out.

I did win the weekly pool my wife and I are in of 75 people this week though. So that softens the blow. I also gave my dogs an extra scratch behind the ears when Vick got hurt, and then popped off at the media.

Raiders are not as awful as people think. And the Jets don't have a lot on offense. Plus it was the whole fly cross country and play on the other coast thing. I don't know why that matters, but it sure seems to.
I've stayed away from this thread on purposes. My thought on the 2011 is this: Can we just cancel it already? Good Lord, I knew Chiefs were not going to be good this year, but I didn't expect them to be quite THIS bad.
I enjoy going to the games some and I like the security of having my own seats in the part of the stadium where I like to set, so I picked up season tickets again right before the season started on the theory that I'll go to some games, and sell the rest. BIG MISTAKE! Might as well have taken $1400 and flushed it down the toilet.
I can't even give tickets away. I kind of want to go the Monday Night Football game on 10/31 vs the Chargers (I love the MNF game atmosphere), but I can't find anybody to go with me, even if I pay for their ticket.
And it wasn't that long ago when there was a waiting list for tickets. How the mighty have fallen.
