2011 NFL Season - A New Game

Congrats to the Bills on their win today. I thought the Patriots would win, but I figured the Bills would make it difficult for them. I never expected Brady to throw three picks (he only had four interceptions for all of last season!). I still think the division will go to either the Patriots or the Jets, but consider me impressed. :techman:

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!

The Rams look like fucking amateurs out there.

We can't run. We can't pass. We can't stop the run. We can't stop the pass. Other than that, everything is just great.

I swear I've seen Monkey Shit Fights more organized....

:scream:

Dude, the Bears just got screwed on that last-minute punt return for a TD. They got flagged for holding on the play, but on the replay nobody was holding.

Also, congrats again to the Bills, who are now leading the AFC East!

Does that referee in the Titans/Broncos game who was far away from the Nate Washington catch and overruled the close official who actually saw it get credit for defending a pass?

Probably... at least as much as the one who called "holding" on a Bears blocker on Knox's apparent td on a punt return at the end of that game.

Titans win!!!

Nowhere near as crazy as last week, but I still love it. I have no idea what's wrong with Chris Johnson, but until he gets rolling, Matt Hasselbeck is doing a brilliant job and I'm so very happy we have him. Old and busted my ass. :mallory: Sucks about Kenny Britt though, hope he's not really out for the season...

So happy for the Bills, they totally deserved it. Patriots: No.3 team in the AFC East?

Eagles lost again... damn. Granted the Giants are looking more like, well, the Giants, but Eagles management seems to have taken the Bears "throw five schmucks together and hope for the best LOL" approach to offensive lines, and good job geniuses! Well, we'll see what happens with Vick's latest injury, and welcome to the big time Mike Kafka. That defense could use a heavy smack upside the head too.

Yeah, that was freaking bizarre. I don't normally go in for the "fixing points" conspiracy theories, but what the hell was that? :wtf:

What deity did the Lions and the Bills sell their souls to, and is this the same deity that apparently doing everything it can to make the Vikings not win a single game?

So, there was this guy, right? And at 4:00 today a lot of people had written him off as a bust because after 2 games in the NFL he had no catches. And then, by about 4:30 today, he had 3 catches, all for touchdowns.

So, I guess the moral of this story is, STFU, morons who think you 'get' football because you watch it, and maybe play Madden. TYVM.

Vick is now complaining that for the past 3 weeks, he feels that he has gotten zero protection from the refs while he is in the pocket. Those of you who have seen the Eagles games, you think there's any truth to that? Is he taking a lot of hits that would be flagged for any other QB?

The Bay Area saw two different kinds of football games today. The first one was one of the most ugly looking games I've seen in a long time, with no team able to actually move the ball other than in the 4th quarter when the 49ers actually did just enough to win. Still, it was a tedious game to watch.

The second game, the Raiders and Jets which was not blacked out here, was an awesome game. Just a shootout up and down the field and Darren McFadden is the man. What a day he had out there, and Campbell didn't have a bad day either.

Glad both teams won though, as I think the Bay Area will have good football games this season, which is different than the last few years.

I thought that last year at least. There seems to be two standards for timings of hits in the NFL, one for QBs and one for WR/RBs. Vick, at a minimum, gets the second standard. I think part of that has to do with the acknowledged potential to run, but he's still a QB. There are hits he takes that, were it Tom Brady, would draw a flag.

I think that's absolutely true. I think the concern is on top of that he doesn't get the same deferential treatment Quarterbacks generally get. Then again, it might just be a certain set of QBs (Brady can just motion for a flag to get one).

Maybe the Bears could trade the useless Cutler to the Eagles. I have lived through some horrific QB's here in the windy city but this guy is so over rated its not funny. He cant hit a moving target. Every receiver has to reach back or over his head to get the ball. He cant feel the blitz. Dumps the ball to the RB way to quick and nothing is ever his fault. Wheres a Mike Phipps when you need him.

A complete disaster of an O line and a receiving corps whose top guy would be a #3 receiver on most teams and it's all Cutler's fault. :wtf:

Don't get me wrong--Cutler has his issues but he's the LEAST of the Bears' problems on offense.

CONSPIRACY WHERE IS THE HOLD DERPADERP THE BEARS GOT SCREWED!!! THE LAST THING THE NFL CONSPIRACY WOULD ALLOW IS THE BEARS TO CLOSE WITHIN 3 POINTS AND ONLY BE AN ONSIDE KICK AND FIELD GOAL AWAY FROM TYING IT!!!!1!~

I'm sorry, whose time just about lost to the Manning-less Colts on national television?

Fun fact: Over the last two games, the Bears have called 95 passes and 20 runs.

I wish I were joking.
