I'm amazed anyone lasted till the end.

It was a very very slow motion car crash. I wanted to see how bad it was going to get and/or maybe there wouldn't be a car crash.

I have a friend who just started watching Torchwood. I have told him, in no uncertain terms, to never watch Miracle Day.

I pray that he heeds my advice, so my sacrifice was not in vain.

Surely we can't have yet another plot where there is a global threat to the Earth and only Torchwood can fix things.

Why not? Every week, the USS Enterprise and her crew(s) faced threats of planet wide and even galaxy wide proportions that only they could fix.

There was a hell of a lot more variety in the plotting than simply that, and William Shatner had more charisma than John Barrowman could ever muster. Their egos are probably similarly sized, however.

Personally, I wish Torchwood and Captain Jack would now just fuck off and stop polluting the Whovian universe.

Ya know, the Watercooler talk I have been exposed to at work throughout this series, while some thought it a bit stretched out, of the 8 people I know who've watched it, none hated it, and they were all fairly well satisfied with it.

So, to me, it seems the general public weren't nearly as dis-satisfied as posters on this thread were. Others may have different experiences, but, the only really negative stuff I've heard has been on the net, not from Joe Q. Public.

And yet look at CoE that went over well with joe public and fans, or Dr Who since the revival, or Next Gen (admittedly helped by there not being much else out there at the time, but still probably the most succesful/popular Trek tv show--even if it does moderately pain me to say it)

On a similar note, my aunt who never bothers with sci-fi found Miracle Day to be "addictive."

I also noticed that phenomenon with Enterprise - we're just hard to please.

Actually, I found with Enterprise, barely anyone outside of internet fandomn was even aware of the show. While it was on the air, all I ever heard was "they don't make Star Trek anymore, do they?"

Hell, it the ten years since it first premiered, I've only heard two non-Trek fans make mention of it, and they call it "the Star Trek that starred the guy from Quantum Leap."

Overall I would give the season a C+, it had it's moments but i think it would have worked better as a 5/6 part story.

So dull glad I didn't see the whole series. Why didnt a guard hoot oswold he had his back to them? Rex blood flowed that because he took a bandage off.
I think one of the problems with the show was how it delivered expotion. Exposition is necessary we want t know whats going on. But it has to be delivered in an intersting way miracle day just felt flat and awkward.
Plan B? Oh no.
Rex imortal WHY!
Regeted my decision to watch Torchwood again.
