encase the word spoiler in [ ] at the start, and /spoiler in [ ] at the end.
If you want to give a title to the spoiler (as in, spoiler about X)
you type spoiler="X" in the brackets.
If it works, you get:
Walter and company (from the disastrous future seen in last season's final episode.)
Make sure there are no spaces between the bracket and the word spoiler, the equals sign, and the quotation marks.

Well, Walter and William Bell did do experiments, some of which involve taking a peak into the alternate universe. Maybe in this Peter-lite universe, one of their experiments goes wrong having consequences for Walternate's universe.
Fauxlivia won't have Peter's baby and either she and Olivia will have known each other if the trip to the alernate universe happened already in this universe or not.

If they are responsible for Peter's return, I would think that the whole timeline would re-adjust to the way it was before. Maybe it's just the one Observer, the one who has helped Walter in the past, who gets Peter back in one form or another but doesn't have enough power to correct the changes in the timeline. It probably takes all of the Observers to do such a thing.
OK, this is just a theory, not that I actually know something that's going to happen, but to play it safe...
I'm just sayin'.
Suppose, that whatever happened to cause Peter 2.0 to never exist causes some other strange shift in reality. Suppose... the original Peter never died? Could Peter be different upon his return because he's not 2.0 but Peter Prime?

From what I've heard on Spoiler TV, in this version of reality, Peter did die years ago, just it's that Walter never crossed over to the alternate universe to get the other Peter.

I really hope that it's the last season. Fringe is bar none the best sci-fi on TV. The only problem is that Abrams, Kurtz and Orci have this terrible tendency to drag things out until fans hate them. See Lost, Alias, Xena and Hercules.
Yeah, the thing with Peter was weird, but the producers truly haven't disappointed yet, so I imagine that they'll find a good way to work this story.
As a weird aside, is it odd that I identify strongly with the characters in this show? Specifically Walter and Olivia. Like Olivia I was a part of psychological group studies as a child. And I think and act a lot like Walter. A lot like Walter, minus the drug use.
