Damn... I noticed the Conqueror when I was mining for designs off that site for the SSDB. I saw it and said, "oh, that's John's, already got it", without actually looking at the "credits" and realizing that they didn't mention your efforts. Sorry, man - had I noticed I would have contacted you sooner. :(

Starting to wonder how many other designs they took credit for now... :klingon:

Awesome, thanks. Email sent.

It's possible this was one of many people who occasionally contact me and ask if they can use one of my ships for an RPG or something. I usually say yes, as long as I get credit.

I like a lot of your work forbin. But that kitbash is hideous lol. You should feel honoured

He's right, its a pretty hideous cut & paste and in no way as good as your physical stuff. You should be thankful, I've had guys selling my stuff and then contact me asking me to make more stuff for them (to sell). Big balls on these lying two-faced thieves.

I actually posted a message on Sci Fi Meshes about how those ebay sellers who make wood models of stolen CGI designs finally got around to stealing and selling Rick Sternbach's work, as well as the U.S.S. Titan as designed by Sean (can't spell his last name). I even sent a PM here to Sternbach about it, to give him a heads-up, but I never heard back from him... not even an acknowledgment. Oh, well. The stolen Sternbach work on ebay is here:

Dude, I drew that art myself, based on one of my physical models. :vulcan:

Anyhoo, thanks to Scott about I got in touch with the guy and straightened it out. He got it from that Guido guy he listed, and didn't know it was mine. He's changing the credit, so all's well.

Looks like it got sorted out! By the way, Forbin, that schematic looks pretty badass to me. :D

Sorry, didn't see any communication about this until now. Yeah, some of these wooden models are amazingly laughable and not to be taken seriously in the least. I sure can't do anything about it except to gripe in response, and I doubt that CBS considers them big enough to worry about it. Makes one sick, though.

Hi, Mr. Sternbach! No worries... I'm glad you got the PM. Actually, someone on Sci Fi Meshes that I got in touch with about this sent the link to Doug Drexler, and he said he'll show it to people "than can get things done", so that sounds promising. I'm sure if both of you were to go after these folks, something would come of it.

Saw that guy's name on this one as well as i was looking though those ships. Just in case it also is someone's...

http://www.tacticalstarshipcombat.com/FASA/sds/federation_suriname.htm

It might be Guidomc he used to post alot on the Subspace Forum but i havent seen post around anywheres in over a year or 2 =/

Makes me wonder if this Guido guy just collected a bunch of art from various sources, then donated it to this website. The site owner would then have no idea of the original source.

Glad to see this got resolved... I had a couple of my chess pics being sold by someone on eBay as mousepads and such, and eBay took them down very quickly after I sent a note w/links to the originals on my dA site.

Perhaps larceny is the sincerest form of flattery? :D

Your probably hit the nail on the proverbial head. He's basically looking for new and interesting ships to play with the FASA Starfleet Combat GAME and make the Statistics
for them. :)
