wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

the new nwo would probably consist of :

Kevin Nash as leader
The miz
R-truth

I think the stables are coming back which is great. I wish we had more of stephenie.

If they were to bring back the NWO, I'd hope they would do it with some originality (most of the others have just copied the original). It also leads me to hope that they use it as an opportunity to turn John Cena heel. Even though that would be heavily inspired by Hulk Hogan, I'd love to see Cena run out to the ring and deliver the AA to CM Punk whilst Nash and the others are laying the beatdown onto him. You then have Cena come out wearing black jorts and wristbands with NWO on them. He could start rapping again too.

If they were to reimagine the stable, I'd have it like this

Kevin Nash (co-leader)
Triple H (co-leader)
John Cena (eventual member)
Ted Dibiase
Drew McIntyre

R-Truth would be the last person to join, since he'd be ranting about how he was right along about the conspiracy!

"IAmJericho: Another Raw, another stolen move. I expect that from a rookie or a diva, but et tu Punk? BACK OFF...."

Again, the article that I posted also contains another article that suggests possible members of the nWo. There was the usual suspects but also some very intriguing possibilities such as Alberto Del Rio and Zack Ryder. I agree that if they're going to be bringing it back then it needs to be executed in an original and most important...entertaining way or fans will simply reject it. As they did with Impact Wrestling's attempts with The Band and Immortal. If they do bring back in full force I will laugh my ass off at Impact Wrestling. Immortal was basically Biscoff and Hogan's attempt at bringing it back yet again lol.

Also I'd like credit for suggesting this a few weeks ago :)

I've been thinking about Cena and Orton's dominance of the main event scence and of course, the world championships.

Now for these statistics I'm going to exclude Undertaker and Triple H since they are both considered "semi-retired" from in ring competition. Anyway, Cena and Orton have a combined total of 20 world championships between them, lets look at the rest of the roster. (ECW and non WWE championships are excluded)

Alberto Del Rio: 1 time WWE Champion
Big Show: 2 time WWE Champion
Christian: 2 time World Heavyweight Champion
CM Punk: 3 time World Heavyweight Champion, 1 time WWE Champion
Dolph Ziggler: 1 time World Heavyweight Champion
Jack Swagger: 1 time World Heavyweight Champion
Kane: 1 time WWE Champion, 1 time World Heavyweight Champion
The Miz: 1 time WWE Champion
Rey Mysterio: 2 time World Heavyweight Champion, 1 time WWE Champion
Sheamus: 2 time WWE Champion

As you can tell, John Cena and Randy Orton hold more world championships combined, than the entire WWE roster! What is more worrying is that John Cena has been champion at least once every year since 2005.

2005: Cena defeats JBL for the WWE Championship
2006: Cena defeats Edge for the WWE Championship
2006: Cena defeats Edge for the WWE Championship
2007: Cena retains the WWE Championship throughout most of 2007
2008: Cena defeats Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship
2009: Cena defeats Edge and The Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship
2009: Cena defeats Randy Orton for the WWE Championship
2009: Cena defeats Randy Orton for the WWE Championship
2010: Cena wins the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship
2010: Cena defeats Batista for the WWE Championship
2011: Cena defeats The Miz and John Morrison for the WWE Championship
2011: Cena defeats Rey Mysterio for the WWE Championship

The strange thing is that for most of those victories Cena and Orton took the belt off of people whom the fans wanted to see as WWE Champion or World Champion. That is the frustrating thing. I remember back in 2008 when Jericho was World Champ, he was over as his heel character but they dropped the belt back to Cena as mentioned in the thread. I remember being pissed off at that and stopped watching for a few months.

In 2008, Cena suffered a neck injury in a match against Batista at that year's Summerslam. He was sidelined until November, where he returned at the Survivor Series and beat Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship. I don't dislike these booking decisions for typical IWC reasons. I dislike them because booking Cena and Orton to win titles doesn't get them over. They are over enough already and by increasing their title reigns to "Flair" style totals is just pointless as they rarely lose. Triple H has 13 world title reigns in total but he would put others over and was usually portraying the heel (who had to lose eventually) when he was champion.

WWE has also severely limited the methods in which Cena can lose. He cannot submit because that would contradict the "never give up" elements of his character, he cannot say "I Quit" either. The only person Cena has lost cleanly to this year is CM Punk.

A lot of people criticise Triple H for not putting people over during his championships days. This is not the case at all. Off the top of my head, Triple H has strongly put over...

The Rock
Mick Foley
Steve Austin
Chris Jericho
Hulk Hogan
Kane
Shawn Michaels
Goldberg
Chris Benoit
Randy Orton
Batista
Shelton Benjamin
Ric Flair
John Cena
Jeff Hardy
Edge
The Undertaker

Booking Orton and Cena doesn't get them over (cause they already are, or in John's case fans are apathetic towards him) and usually result in burying the opponent or concluding a story line that normally would have continued a while back. I'm glad that Randy has a better reputation it seems than what it used to be during his Evolution days but I really do not like when talent is ignored or buried for the sake of elevating already established characters.

I can only think of 6 people that Cena has lost cleanly to since 2005 (when he became the character that he is today)...

Shawn Michaels (2007)
Batista (2008)
Chris Jericho (2009)
Randy Orton (2009)
Sheamus (2009)
CM Punk (2011)

Additionally Cena has only lost 4 world championships cleanly (to Randy Orton, Edge, Sheamus and CM Punk)

2006: Edge cashes in following Cena's Elimination Chamber victory.
2006: Rob Van Dam pins Cena following a spear from Edge.
2007: Cena vacates title due to injury.
2009: Edge defeats Cena following interference from Big Show.
2010: Batista pins Cena following Cena's Elimination Chamber victory.
2010: Cena loses title due to interference by Nexus.
2011: Cena loses title with foot on the ropes.

Since John Cena is compared to Superman, I guess it's only fair to compare the 6 wrestlers who have beaten Cena clean to Superman villains.

Shawn Michaels/Bizarro
Batista/Doomsday
Chris Jericho/Lex Luthor
Randy Orton/Ultraman
Sheamus/Darkseid
CM Punk/General Zod

Steve Austin put over Trips first.

Triple H strongly put over Chris Jericho? I find this odd, since I don't recall Jericho EEEVVEEEEEERRRR getting a victory over Trips in singles competition.

As far as Hulk Hogan, I've read a few articles where Trips has mentioned Hogan's name and those words have rarely been civil. As far as putting him over, Trips laid down for him one time. Hogan's been an institution since before Trips had any aspirations to be in the ring. I'd hardly call that 'strongly putting over'.

Kane should have won the World Championship back when they unified it with Kane's Intercontiental Championship in 2003. But, no Trips needed 5 more reigns at the time. That's also hardly putting someone over.

Shawn Michaels is his best friend. Its not like he could hold Michaels down. Michaels was winning World Championships when Trips was losing to D'Lo Brown for the European Championship. I don't really thinks Shawn belongs on your list.

For similar reasons you also can't seriously count Ric Flair, Randy Orton, Batista, John Cena, Undertaker...

I like the Randy Orton/Ultraman comparison :) I dunno if Sheamus is Darkseid. He's more like Parasite. Someone has to do a Punk as General Zod manip now...and yeah I would have to disagree as well with some of the names on your list Captain M that Trips has genuinely put over.

The miz is general zod if were doing dc comparising. and R-truth is ijmmy olson deffinatelly not steel.

Mon-El is a Daxamite with powers similar to Clark's except that he is vulnerable to lead. Mon-El is also more known as a Legion of Super Heroes character and for being trapped in the Phantom Zone :)

The Miz is so not General Zod and timothy I think you missed the point of Captain M's post.

No, I know who Mon'El is as far as DC comics continuity (or non-continuity depending on who you ask) is concerned. :p

I was wondering who he'd be in the dubiya-dubiya-EEEEEEE.

^ Ooops. My mistake lol. Mon-El is the Miz then....trapped in the Phantom Zone ;)

In case anyone has been wondering about Botchmania...Maffew has been recovering from a dog attack. He posted on his website about this earlier in the month. I at first thought he was joking considering his sense of humor but it would appear real (considering I too once was attacked by a dog...German Shepperd...I sympathize with him). Mick Foley has a shout out to him on the website if anyone wants to check it out.
