Breaking In...still alive!

Continuing this trend Fox just announced that if Terra Nova fails the network plans to bring Firefly back at mid-season to replace it on the schedule.

Breaking In returns March 6.

Christian Slater (Oz), Bret Harrison (Cameron) and Alphonso McAuley (Cash) are back. Megan Mullally is in as Oz's boss. Odette Annable (Melanie) has been dropped to recurring since she's on House now. Michael Rosenbaum (Dutch) won't be around because he's filming a movie, but could appear later on. Trevor Moore (Josh) was a regular in the pilot but only a guest star from that point on even though he was in every episode, so I have no idea if he's coming back or not.

I hope the show survives it's mild retooling. Would hate to think it got revived only to come back as half the show it was.

Bumping to remind everyone that the show is back next week. Looks like the retooling is that it's more of a workplace comedy now and less weekly caper. Plus there's a second addition in the form of Erin Richards.

Hmmm, missing some people in that cast photo. Hope they didn't get the axe. Also hoping the "re-tooling" isn't too severe. I liked the show as it was.

Anyone watching the revamped return of Breaking In? In which Mrs. Pucci buys up Contra Security and Christopher Chance falls in love with her... oh, wait...

First new episode, not so great, but they had to force in a bunch of background info so I'll give it another look.

"Not so great" would be a bit of an understatement. Didn't find it the least bit funny or even engaging. As insinuated by a fellow poster, they went down the path of how they retooled Human Target and we all know how that went.

Will give it another shot with the next episode.

As a fan of The Loop and Human Target before Fox retooled both of those shows, I'm very sorry for your loss.

It sounds like Fox did the exact same thing here that destroyed those shows.

Ay yi yi. They took a mediocre show and made it utterly unwatchable.

Oh well, good luck to Bret Harrison and Christian Slater. Maybe if this sucker gets cancelled fast enough, they'll make the current pilot casting season?

I didn't notice the similarities to how they retooled human target. but in both cases they changed '"mission Impossible" into "Hogans Heroes".

Hogan's Heroes was funny, I'd watch that show if it were revived today (what a concept).

But this show has just become painful. Hiring Megan Mullally was a major blunder. Ugh, has she always been so grating? (This is the first time I've been exposed to her, and rest assured, it will be the last.) :rommie:

There's nearly 200 episodes of Hogan's Heroes.

Updating the plot to a more contemporary war would...

What did you think of Homeland?
